Entertaining and Fun 10/21/2004

Where is Beee??? Less of a place without her. Still worth the trip but some nights there too many guys there...and too many guys behind the bar. Pros: cheap drinks, hot girls Cons: , too much hip-hop more

What a great place! 6/24/2003

You have to love Bourbon Street! It has kicked ass for more years than I can remember. Everybody always has a great time here - not excuding myself! Cheers! Pros: great time, women, great drink prices Cons: need it to be bigger, men's room more

Lively 5/23/2003

There's good energy and always lots of friendly people here. Surprisingly it was totally dead when I went on a Thursday once, but Fridays and Saturdays seem to be safe bets! The drinks are pretty expensive for a dive bar though ($6 for Bass Ale? - Wow!). Pros: friendly, music, atmosphere Cons: pricey more

mardi gras 3/17/2003

Everyday feelss like Mardi Gras at this fun bar on the Upper West Side. There are always girls dancing on the bar pouring free shots and throwing out beads. The bartenders are a lot of fun and they know how to get the crowd invovled. I will definitely be back! Pros: cheap, fun, good crowd more

Crazy !!! 3/2/2003

You know your not in kansas anymore when you enter this place, everyone seemed to have fun, great place to go crazy. Reminds me of the Drift Inn in west hampton. The Music was all that chessy 80's stuff from college with a good mix of some new dance and hip-hop. Don't eat mexican food before you go there or you'll be in for some trouble as the bathrooms left something to be desired. Pros: Good drinks, service, Music Cons: Bathrooms more

Great time 2/24/2003

Went there on saturday with some friends for a B-day party. The music was great everything from the 80's and current stuff, the bathroom needs a little TLC, I got drunk but best of all my friend had a blast. Pros: Music, Mixed crowd, Strong drinks Cons: Restrooms more

Everybody get Leid! 2/20/2003

Bourbon St. is a blast. If your are going for the first time, have a few drinks in you before you go, the atmosphere is very wild and party like, so you need to be open minded and loose. It does get Crowded, but you can always get a drink. Big Time Hook Up Scene. Everyone is cool, there are no Meat-Heads (Just the Bouncers) The Bartenders are Beautiful, and fun-going. The DJ, Plays tons of ""Guilty Pleasures"", Like Bon Jovi, and all that cheesy early 90's Rap, that you hate to admit you lie, but know all the words. DO NOT go to Bourbon St and Try to stay sober, you will hate it. And take care of my Bartender Beatrice! more

sunny times 11/28/2002

Great bar to goto and get stinking drunk. If thats what you want to do for a night, then you have the right place. Dont you dare think of wearing any trendy clothing in there, this is one of the preppier places you can find. Its one of my favorite places to go in the city. Pros: bartenders, crowd, drinks more

Good Times 8/19/2002

This place was fun. The crowd was really laid back and there was a variety of fun music. Seems like a place to go when you want to get completely blasted. I had mixed feelings of the fact that it reminded me a little too much of the bars I went to in college suburbia. Friendly staff, great service. Good place to go just to have a good time and forget about all the pretentious trying-to-be-trendy people going out in nyc. Pros: Fun Crowd, Pretty Inexpensive Cons: A lot like college more

sucks 7/24/2002

Bourbon street is a terrible bar. It's dirty and the drinks are way too expensive. It's nothing but a trashy meat market rather than a ""singles scene"". I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone. more

WOW! 7/22/2002

Absolutely Fantastic. Even when schools out and everyone is in the Hamptons, this place still Rocks! Great Crowd, Great Vibe. A little pricey ($16 LI Ice Tea) But well worth it, if you are looking for a good time. more

...if only they had food 6/6/2002

Great sports bar. Wound up there because Blondie's required reservations. Anyway, the tv's are plentiful and they actually put the sound on for the game (something a lot of other so-called sports bars don't - i.e. ESPN Zone who keeps the Britney blasting during the games). The service was pretty good and even though they don't have food, they are great about letting you order in (and even have menus for you, if you'd like). more

VERY HAPPY HOUR 5/23/2002

Being an upper west side local i found this bar excellent. It had good music, a nice little crowd, a great deal for happy hour and a Australian bartander who was really cool and friendly, which is a really nice change more

An Upper West Sider more akin to "Animal House" than Dixieland jazz.
