Best on the Riverwalk 4/25/2011

Boudro's has always been on me and my wife's ""Things to do"" list when we visit San Antonio. Awesome! more

Seafood is AWSOME, Stay away from the beef 5/24/2010

Fantastic seafood. WORST PRIME RIB I HAVE EVER HAD. The entire thing was encased in sinew. Our server did not know the difference between marbling and inedible sinew. The cold Au Jus was served over the meat, not as a side. The horseradish was a cream blob that the meat was placed on top of, if you want it or not. It was my 25th anniversary and I was trying not to upset my wife so I ate it, and then was ill later. Stick with the sea food because they do not have a clue about beef. Pros: Great Seafood Cons: They do not know beef more

The Best 2/12/2009

If you Must eat on the Riverwalk, this is the place to go. Best restaurant in San Antonio, maybe even Texas. Steaks and fish are exquisite. I love the fact that they make guacamole at your table more

Recommended 10/28/2008

My family and I decided to go to this restaurant due to the recommendation of our ferry operator. I was in the mood for a hearty steak. It was advised to me that Boudros Bistro on the River had an excellent blackened prime rib. Needless to say I was intrigued. When we approached the entrance we were greeted outside by the hostess who offered indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to dine inside. more

Best Steak and Tuna! 9/15/2008

Wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Boudros on the Riverwalk. They have a very interesting menu with good variety in tastes and price. The Black Angus Filet Mignon was the best I've had on the Riverwalk yet. I could almost cut it with my fork. Cooked to order, medium/rare, it was tasty and the veggies were great too. Bride had the Seared White Fin Tuna. It was so tender and soft, it almost melted in your mouth. The way it was prepared made it especially tasty as well. We had the Guacamole, which is made fresh table side, as an appetizer and it was delicious too. The service was efficient, courteous and attentive without being over the top. We had reservations on a Monday night, and it is certainly a good idea at a popular restaurant like this. It is not cheap but you don't go for your lungs either. The wine selections are interesting as are the desserts. The only draw back to the entire experience, we should have sat outside at Riverside. It gets a little noisy inside. Opt for that, weather permitting. more

Great Food 8/3/2008

The food here is excellent, prices are a bit high for some items, but mostly ok. It is right on the Riverwalk, very nice with trees above. We had an enjoyable evening at this restaurant. more

Best Prickly Pear Margarita Ever 10/30/2007

My friends and I really enjoyed our trip to Boudro's to drink prickly pear margaritas and eat chips, salsa, and guacamole prepared fresh at the table. This was our favorite part of the week. Great service, Beautiful view etc. Pros: Prickly Pear Margaritas and Guacamole more

Just Okay / Service was not good 9/7/2007

I dont know, I guess I was just expecting more. It was nothing to write home about. First, they could not find my reservation. It was our anniversary and I stated that when I made it. To their credit they sat us in about 5 min. The service was just ok. It better be good for the price you pay though. But it wasnt outstanding. Pros: Maybe the guacamole... Cons: too loud, too salty, bad service more

Great Date Place 8/24/2007

Food was terrific, Service was impeccable. It's nice to know there are still some good places to go downtown. Pros: Great service & Food Cons: POpular places get crowded quickly more

One of San Antonio's Best 2/20/2007

This is an all around great spot. Everything on the menu is excellent. I recommend the blackened prime rib. Nice wine list with reasonable prices. They have a wine bar across the street you can have drinks at while you wait. Service is good also. Pros: Appetizers, setting, service more

You gotta try it 1/12/2007

This place is amazing. I've lived in san antonio for 2 years and cannot tell you how many times i've been here. We take all our visitors there. Better for lunch than dinner, Great salads at lunch and a killer rib eye sandwich too. The guacamole is infamous and you must must must try a prickly pear margarita. The only reason we prefer lunch to dinner is it does get really loud and crowded at night and we prefer the lunch menu. However the blackened prime rib on the dinner menu is one of a kind. Oh, and for sweet tooths, the brownie dessert is heaven. ;) Pros: Great food-everytime, tasty cocktails Cons: can get crowded, if eating on river people will practically be sitting on your lap more

Wonderful! 4/28/2006

My Boyfriend took me to Boudros for a romantic dinner and the food was absolutly wonderful, and the guacomole made at your table was awesome. My boyfriend gave the waiter my engagement ring and he put it in the top of the ice cream on our dessert. It was wonderful. Such a romantic place to go on a date and an even better place to be proposed to. We have now been married for 4 months. Pros: Quiet, Romantic, Great Service more

Favorite part of our trip! 4/10/2006

Me boyfriend and I went to Boudro's on our trip to San Antonio. We're young college students and don't have much money but we had heard great things about this place so we decided to go and try an appetizer. We got the wild mushrooms with goat cheese over polenta...pure heaven! We ordered some salsa and chips which were wonderful. Actually the best salsa we'd ever had. And my mojito was PERFECT. We sat outside on the Riverwalk, relaxed, and really enjoyed ourselves. We will come back here everytime we are in San Antonio! Pros: mojito, food, atmosphere Cons: pricey more

A must for guacamole lovers 7/31/2005

Year's ago I had a favorite italian restaurant that made the caesar salad to order at your table...Boudro's is my first experience with the waiter making the guacamole dip at my table...and it was fantasic. Loved the Texas Quail and an assortmrent of the starters. Expensive...sure. Worth it...you bet. Great place to hit in late afternoon for appetizers and drinks. [I was not a big fan of the dinner entrees]. Reservation for dinner is a must. You get seated promptly if you are on the list. A happening place. Pros: Great appetizers, Margarita's, Location Cons: Loud more
