I think you can look for coupon, if you are really thinking of playing bowling at this area. They seldom offer a coupon where you can get a free game. I would say it is the best bowling place at boston. Kind of hard to find where it is. But once you find it, you will always come back. more

Wicked Fun; Kindy Ghetto 8/18/2005

Boston Bowl has spectacular and cheap candlepin bowling. They even have some sort of discount only on candlepin from Tuesday-Friday I think in between the hours of 6-11. This place is also open 24 hours, wihch is a big plus in my book. They do have normal bowling avaliable but it is more expensive. There are usually thuggish looking people hanging out, and sometimes you fear for your safety, however, but that's really the only down side to the whole experience. You also can not get here via the T, which kinda sucks. more

Not for the faint of heart 8/17/2005

Boston Bowl is the place you go to go bowling with the true bowlers. It has about 3 dozen ten-pin (big ball) bowling lanes and about a dozen candlepin (small ball) bowling lanes. Go on Wednesdays when everything (bowling and billiards) are half priced. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have a deal for candlepin bowling ($22.50 per hour/lane). If you rent shoes, you get a free pair of socks. They also have leagues, if you are serious about heavy-duty bowling. more
