Books A Million

This used to be my favorite place to go. Now it seems kind of blah. I used to go there for the coffee at Joe Muggs but that was only because I'd never had "real" frou-frou coffee. Now that we have so many other coffee shops, I think the coffee there tastes like sludge. I do enjoy their magazine and book selection. It's about as wide as it can get, and if they don't have something in stock, they're glad to order it for you. more

Huge book selection, mostly knowledgeable, helpful staff, and a fun little coffee shop make this the best bookstore in town. The staff doesn't discourage customers from sitting and browsing/reading, so it's a great way to pass an afternoon. more

This BAM has a nice little cafe, a large selection of books, and even what's left of a train table for little ones to play at so in those aspects it's good. On the down side though most of the employees seem to be clueless whenever you ask them a question about a book. If you ask where one might be it takes forever for them to find it. If you ask if they have it in the store most times they will tell you no but they can order it just to turn around and tell you oh yeah I guess we DO have it. Forget about calling and asking them a question because that is a train wreck waiting to happen. If they would just clean up the mess of a train table (fix it or throw it out because it's becoming a hazard!) and train their employees better it would make a world of difference! more
