Book Soup is a great boutique bookstore where you can find an ecclectic collection of books you won't find in other bookstores. If you're in in the neighborhood and want to avoid the big chain stores, go here. They have a good selection of books about L.A. architecture and history in stock. Also, if you're looking for a book they don't have in stock, they will order it for you. more

A wide selection to browse 12/13/2005

This bookstore on Sunset Blv is really filled up with tons of books from a wide range of subject. You can definitely spend the whole afternoon there strolling and browsing in the aisles. I found that the art and movie sections were very large. The only annoying thing is parking. I had a hard time finding a spot when I went. However, they can deliver your order for you for less than $10! more

Book Soup offers much more than your typical large-scale chain bookstore. Beyond selling popular as well as obscure titles they offer book signing events, one of a kind signed titles and group book discussions. Their website allows customers to pre-order books as well as sign up to attend special events. Its celebrity clientèle makes people watching added bonus. more
