There is nothing like the joy you get when you find a old book from childhood for $1.00 or the Cookbook from the 60's that your mother has raved about your whole life ( if only she had one of her own..) That is the feeling you get every time you walk into The Book Barn, Located on Texas Ave about 2 blocks or so before Main st.
The Shop is small, and packed with books, The owner(?) does not speak much, which is actually nice. Your in there to find a book, not gab all day. Be on the look out though, The owner has a BIG dog who keeps her company ( sweet dog, but a shock to turn around and find him looking at you if you didn't know he was there.)
Prices are pretty cheap, and they do accept your old books and give you store credit.
