They have a great selection of delicious south and north Indian vegetarian food at some of the best prices in town. Where else in this city can you get a samosa for just 75 cents? Some of my favorite dishes are the Halva Poori (especially when I'm extra hungry), Or the masala dosa, or the Aloo Chhole with a samosa on the side. And you can't pass up on drinking a mango lassi or a chai tea. \r

Try the sweets. But in small doses, because if you're not used to Indian sweets, they are veeeeeery sweet.\r

They've also improved their ambiance in the last few months, so they look less like a laundromat, and more like the Indian deli / restaurant that they really are. I do, however, miss the bulletin board they used to have, with all the local postings of events, Indian movies and help wanted ads and the like. I realize it doesn't fit the new decor, but I always appreciate any business that supports the local community with a place to post announcements like that.
Pros: Great Prices, good Indian vegetarian food, friendly service, ample parking, cool neighborhood
Cons: They use styrofoam plates and cups, if you're concerned about that sort of thing.
