Seriously. This place is really good, and the value for your money is pretty awesome too. My husband never really liked Indian (I did) and became converted by their Chicken Tika masala. Amazing don't be detered by the outside. more

Myself, wife and MIL ate here last night.\r Bit drab from the outside, staff smoking in the doorway never a good sign. I almost turned around there and then but had a hankering for some Indian food.\r Rsturant was nice looking inside, paper table covers were a new one to me. Disposable I suppose.\r Staff were plesant and friendly.\r Greeted with popadoms ans pickle selection.\r Wine was expensive, $30 for a mediocure reisling.\r Waiter made some food recommendations, tried the butter chicken (average) my wife makes better maybe she will let them have the recipie. Lamb rogan again average, we asked for very spicy. But It was all mild. Sag aloo was fantastic as was the nan.\r Nice to see Indian families eating there, would go again but would stick to vegitarian and give the wine a miss. more

Our favorite Indian restaurant...East Indians eat here too. The okra dish on vegetable menu Bhindi ( Kurmi?) was outstanding! My new favorite. No, it was not slimy. more

We tried this place for the first time the other night. We got takeout, which was packaged well. The staff was SUPER friendly. The food was delicious. The sauces were excellent. The ONLY complain we had was that the chicken was slightly gristley (there was some connective tissue). This REALLY bothers my husband, so it blunted his enjoyment slightly. It would have been perfect if the chicken was just white meat chunks with all of the connective tissue cut off. BUT we will definitely go back and can't wait to try the buffet! more

I love Indian food. It's my favorite type of cuisine. So naturally, when I moved to the area, I tried every Indian Restaurant I could find. I've tried them all and this one is the best and most authentic.\r \r The prices are very reasonable and everything about it is unpretentious. The buffet changes every day, just enough to keep it interesting yet reliable.\r \r The chicken curry is a work of art for the palette. It is what chicken curry should be. The chicken is real ... not those pre-cooked frozen cubes of white meat that are dry and without flavor.\r \r There is always a wide variety of dishes to choose from, always adequate for vegetarians and vegans. No beef is served, yet it is more than satisfying for those who want meat or chicken.\r \r Lunch buffet every day includes sizzling hot tandoori chicken brought to your table along with fresh hot naan bread. The real thing! more

The food was average. We were there on a Sunday night and had the buffet. We were pleased that they had several vegetarian dishes on the buffet, but it's definitely not the best Indian I've had in South Florida. I'd recommend Saffron in West Palm or Taj in Deerfield. more

The name may have changed over the years, but the food has alway been great. 11/11/2008

I have only been to the lunch buffet and it is alway great. Large selection and very tasty. The price is good about the same as a C food buffet. I alway wonder why I don't see more people eating here. They don't know what they are missing. Pros: Taste and Price Cons: Size more

Very good Indian for this area 7/23/2008

First let me say that it's impossible to find a GREAT Indian restaurant in Florida. Sorry folks, but you have to head up north for great Indian food - north of Washington, DC. Nevertheless, Bombay Cafe is probably the best Indian restaurant in the Palm Beach, Boca and FLL area. I work in consulting and as such get to eat out every day of the week. We have tried many Indian restaurants and most leave a lot to be desired. Bombay Cafe so far has been the best hands down. Their veggy dishes are outstanding. The Chicken Tika Masala is spotty (depends on the day) but most other dishes are great. They have a good selection of Indian beers as well. Service is a bit on the pompous side but friendly enough to tolerate. You'll know what I mean if you get the cocky strutting waiter with a shit-eating grin on his face. He walks around as if he's looking into the mirror the whole time. I'm certain he sees something we don't. Anyhow, I'm not a big fan of buffets but this is probably one of the best. One night a week they have the buffet and I think it's best to avoid it and go on a night you can order from the menu. It's really a shame they don't serve from the menu on buffet night. Pros: Good food and nice selection of Indian beer Cons: Pompous waiter and can't order from menu on buffet night more

Nothing to rave about 9/27/2006

Service at Taste of Bombay was great, but the food, on the otherhand, was not that good. I was a bit disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it on date night that's for sure. more

Best buffet anywhere 6/14/2006

People have been raving about Royal India, and the place is very popular and packed. Taste of Bombay, on the other hand, is FAR superior in taste and quality of food, and unfortunately I have never seen it all that busy. Their tikka masala (sp?) chicken is SUPERB. Their lunch buffet is extensive, reasonably priced and filled with delicious choices. I highly recommend Taste of Bombay, certainly over Royal India! (And no, I'm not related to anyone at Taste of Bombay!) more
