Bombay is excellent! I can't say it any better than that! The food is just delicious. I took my very picky, skeptical, meat and potato loving father there...and a week later, he ...

Mild for an authentic Indian taste 10/9/2011

I stay 2 hours away from this place. My residence is very close to a locality with a very high Indian population. And there are tons of Indian restaurants there.\r Whenever I go to other cities and have India food there, I have always noticed that the food there is relatively mild - and so is the same with 'Bombay Indian Restaurant'. It may have to do with the fact that they are trying to target tastes from other cultures too.\r The food we had generally had less spices. (and I don't mean spicy as in a lot of chilly).\r The dal makhani had a distinct cinnamon taste in it - which is not how an authentic dal makhani would taste. \r The kheer was less sweet.\r Would I go there again? Not sure. I would probably try other Indian restautants before circling back to this one. more

JUST GO...don't even hesitate! It's awesome! 5/8/2008

Bombay is excellent! I can't say it any better than that! The food is just delicious. I took my very picky, skeptical, meat and potato loving father there...and a week later, he went back without me! I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. \r \r If you are not familiar with indian food, ordering is as easy as can be. All entrees have very nice descriptive explanation, so you know exactly what you are getting, and if you are not into spicey heat, you can get all meals mild. Go with a small group; the meals are served family style, so you can get a little taste of things you may not have ordered on your own, which I think is a great way to pick a new favorite entree.\r \r I have been there on a few saturday nights. The atmosphere is always very nice, clean, and quiet when I have been there. Dim lights and very romantic. A small Classy interior, but you can wear shorts or jeans without feeling uncomfortable. The staff is on top of everything without being a pain in the rear.\r \r I highly recommend the Chili Chicken appetizer that has quite a bit of heat. And the Chicken Tikka Masala is one of the best I have ever eaten. I wish I could rememer the name of my mom's cheese dish, because that was delicious too. Mmmm and don't forget the Garlic naan!\r \r I have always been there for dinner, not the buffet. If going for dinner, be prepared to pay a little more than the other reviewers buffet prices. A dinner for 4, including app's and after dinner coffee/tea cost a little less than $100 including tip. (price from 5/3/2008) We had a very nice selection of chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian dishes for that price.\r \r Now go...get out of here... and have a great time! Pros: descriptive menu, nice selection, family style service, SUPER CLEAN Cons: You'll find a favorite & you won't want to order anything else ! more

Good Buffet 4/14/2003

Bombay has a good lunch buffet every day except Sunday for $6.95. The selection is good, as is the service. The waiter brings you hot bread instead of it being on the buffet line, ensuring that it's hot and buttery. Beverages (except for tea) are extra. Leave a dollar tip and you're out the door--stuffed--for $8.37. Hard to beat. more
