BOKA is a vibrant, communal blend of lounge, bar and restaurant. Sleek, contemporary design is infused with a menu of urban American food, handcrafted cocktails, and a wine list r...

My friends and I made reservations for this restaurant a month and a half before our dinner. There were 8 of us. We got there, the service was great, the food was about a 4 out of...

lacking good service 7/31/2006

The bar is very hip and cool, it is a neat atmosphere. However, the wine pours are cheap and the service I have found to be poor. Last time I was in there I had to send back and incorrect bill twice w/o apology from our server. The drinks are good, but the portion sizes would be way too small for the price w/o happy hour prices. I would go there for a drink, then head somewhere else. Pros: cool looking place, neat speacialty drink menu Cons: poor service, small portions more

try the thai chicken lolipops and the crab cupcakes 7/21/2006

this is a really cool spot. Pros: very hip place. great food. felt like new york or LA. Cons: closed for lunch more

crab cupcakes and lobster croquettes, oh my... our new favorite restaurant!!! 7/21/2006

okay, the restaurant is gorgeous and the service staff all give off a great vibe. i won't waste your time and will go straight to the food. Pros: ambiance, service, absolutely delicious food. more

Good for cocktails 7/21/2006

I wouldn't consider BOKA a restaurant because to me it seemed more of a drinking establishment. The design is modern and I really enjoyed the ambiance. The cocktail list had several interesting items and the drinks were very good. The bites were lackluster and expensive for what they were. To me, it's a great place to have a cocktail or two before moving on for dinner elsewhere. Pros: atmosphere, cocktails Cons: food, pricey more

Great Drinks and Decor...Food Mediocre! 7/16/2006

My friends and I attended a birthday party here on Sat. night. The place is beautiful and the staff is professional and friendly. I would recommend to come here for drinks with friends, but eat before you come! The party was not impressed with the soup/salads or appetizers...believe them when they say BITES! The chicken/pasta/fish was ok at best. Pros: Drinks, Ambiance, Service Cons: Food, Price more

Peach cosmos and cheese plate 7/15/2006

Wonderful classy chic style without feeling stuffy. Very friendly staff, knowledgable. Very interesting take on a cosmo with peach puree and rosemary. Fantastic. Also a delicious cheese platter with a fig mustard that was to die for. A Seattle must-do experience. Pros: Ambience, appetizers Cons: New more

Great location and decor, try the Peach Cosmo 7/9/2006

The location at 1st & Madison is terrific, the bar is beautiful and upscale, and the drinks are terrific. The food is delicious but the menu is pretentious and distracting. Urban Bites are just that, bites. Two bites at best. Don't even think about sharing them, or order more than one. They're working out the kinks, but the place has great potential! Pros: decor, location, cocktails Cons: price, appetizer menu more

New Georgeous Night Scene In Seattle! 6/29/2006

If you have already burned out by the night scene in Seattle, you MUST visit BOKA at First and Madison! This is the 'it' place for both girls' and guys' night out. What appealed to me the most was the modern and contemporary furnishing design with multi-changing lights illuminating the wall. Since it is located in the lobby of the new and upscale 'Hotel 1000', designated driver can now enjoy the party as well. Pros: Valet/ Street Parking, Great Atmosphere and its Luscious Cocktails Cons: Price more
