Beauty with a Conscious 3/1/2006

Body time is a cute local way to buy your beauty supplies. They have a lot of organic and unique products. Their products include everything from lotions to shampoos, and anti aging creams to baby products/gifts. There’s definitely a lot to find in this store. They will also create you a specific scent for perfume or to add to a lotion. The prices are a bit high, but they’re no worse than someplace like the Body Shop, and at least this way you’re supporting a local business! The staff was super patient and helpful. I’d definitely recommend this place if you like lotions and beauty products. more

Custom Scented Soaps, Lotions, Perfumes 8/9/2005

Body Time has been in the Bay Area since the 70's and they make great skin care, perfume, bath and body, and haircare products. You can buy products that are pre-scented but for those who have allergies, the products come in scentless and colorless versions as well. They can also be custom scented with oils based on your preferences. If you want, you can even mix your own fragrance by buying Body Time's perfume/cologne base, various scented oils, and an empty perfume bottle. Body Time has six Bay Area locations. They also offer a mail order service. Products can be ordered online as well. more

Be remembered 8/4/2005

I can't tell you what kind of shampoo is in my shower right now, but I can list my three favorite Body Time scents from 10 years ago - Black Rose, Infinite and Jasmine. Body Time specializes in customizing your bath products with their selection of essential oils - you can get massage oil, a variety of lotions, shampoos, soaps and more, all custom scented with a pre-made scent or your own special combination. The staff will help you decide what products are best for you skin, and you can complete the experience with fluffy robes, eye pillows, rubber duckies and other bathing "extras". They also make great gift baskets for everyone from Grandma to the new baby in your life. It can get a little expensive, but for an individual impression that lasts, it's worth it. more
