I have had chronic low back issues for over thirty years. I was preparing for a long road trip several weeks ago and tweaked my back just a few days before leaving. I couldn't stand straight and was in constant pain. I was able to make arrangements with Donna for bodywork the day before I was to leave town. Donna's work is amazing. She is able to listen to what the body needs and addresses those needs through combinations of modalities, massage, tuina, Reike. She was able to release what needed releasing. I was able to make my car trip, traveling over 12 hours per day for 2 consecutive days pain free! Donna has a reassuring style and is attentive to the client and the client's body. I have had several massages from Serrana both before and after adventure races that I have recently completed. She is very talented and targets areas that need work and applies the pressure needed to get my the aches and pains out. On the way back from a recent expedition length race in Utah called Primal Quest, I called her a booked an appointment for the day I returned to Seattle. By mile 300 during the race, I was already thinking of getting a massage... I also have flexor tendonitis and trouble with the arches in my feet that she has been able to reduce pain from through massage. more

I have been struggling with back, shoulder and neck pain for years. I work heavily on a laptop computer and travel quite a bit by car and plane which tends to irritate things even more. I try to get a massage once a week to help with the stiffness and pain as I am way beyond Advil. I have been to many massage therapists over the years but none have come close to Serrana. Serrana has been a life saver for me! Her in depth knowledge of muscle groups and techniques has been extremely helpful in my rehabilitation. She conducts a thorough assessment and delivers a truly amazing therapeutic massage. When I am out of state on business and in need of a massage, I am always disappointed with the results from others. I find myself missing Serrana's massages. I try to get massage at least twice a month. I moved to Seattle from Austin, Texas and was concerned I would have difficulty finding a massage therapist that would be as good as the one I had back home in Austin. I was lucky enough to find Serrana through the recommendation of a friend. She has helped me with injury recovery as well as pre and post race massage. Serrana is incredibly gifted at bodywork. She takes the time to evaluate you before she starts and really customized the massage to your needs. It never feels like the same massage twice. As a runner I have always been reluctant to let anyone work on my legs. My experience was that I was either left too sore or my legs were kneaded as if they were dough. After receiving many massages from Serrana I scheduled pre and post marathon massages. My legs have never felt better for a race! I was back running three days post race, after my previous marathons I couldn’t walk with out pain for a week! Serrana is truly gifted! I count myself lucky to be her client. Donna Selle is fantastic! It's easy to feel pretty vulnerable during a massage, but she is really great at knowing how to make you the most comfortable and at giving you what you need. Whether you want to be relaxed or if your muscles really need a workout, she's able to do it and do it well. I've had other massage therapists who didn't seem all that attentive to what I asked them for. But Donna gives you all of her attention. I couldn't recommend her more highly! more

The massages I have received from Serrana are fabulous!! I first began seeing Serrana for relaxation massages and she did a great job. This past year, I injured my shoulder and began seeing her for therapeutic massage. WOW- She is REALLY good at what she does. She finds all the knots and get them out. I swear, she has a gift. Serrana gives the best massages I've ever received, and I've grown up with massage as a part of my life. So that says a lot. She is smart and systematic about getting rid of aches and knots and soreness, and so honest that she gives you preventative tips on how to keep from recreating the same problems while you work, drive etc. She listens well and asks good questions when you describe what's wrong, and really understands how tensions in different areas contribute to each other. I came in one day so sore that I felt like i couldn't stand straight - she even noticed that my shoulders were sitting unevenly. When the session was over, it was as if my posture just held itself up properly on its own. I'd recommend this especially for anyone who works long hours at a computer, or anyone that's had an injury, as she can do injury rehabilitation too. And it is affordable - there are discounts for students and senior citizens, and a sliding scale system if you're broke.
