I finally finished a half sleeve on my right arm and it looks f***kin awesome! Everyone who sees my tattoo are so impressed at the detail and finished work. The place looks awesome and the environment is friendly. I told taka what I wanted and he created a masterpiece! Cant wait to start the next project. Pros: Talent, atmosphere, friendly service, awesome TAT!! Cons: hmmm...the pain of 10 hour sessions? lol more

Or let a friend go to another piercer other than James at body electric. Always a plesant experience, very clean and professional, and always up to date on new things going on in the body mod world more

i have known wizzer for a few years now and as a professional i can say he is one of the few throughout the country i would trust with my body as well as anyone of my clients as well. he upholds only the highest standards of every aspect of body piercing. he has been one i look to for advice and good conversation as far as sharing ideas and ways to better our craft. anyone who would has the pleasure of allowing james to be part of their body piercing experience couldnt be in any better position. i strongly suggest him, his work, and any advice he can give. James makes getting pierced a pleasant and easy experience. I felt completely comfortable and relaxed when he was piercing me. Not only did he answer every question I had thoroughly and made sure I knew how to take care of my piercing, He made my piercing the least painful of all of the piercings I've had. The shop is very calm and industrial and you feel very relaxed. Also, the shop has some of the most beautiful and unique jewelrey I've ever seen. I will never go to another piercer because I know James will take care of me and make sure I feel safe and comfortable. Pros: Pleasant Environment. Clean and Safe Shop. James gives the perfect combination of professionalism and friendliness. When anyone walks into Body Electric on Melrose, they will feel welcome. He has an extreme amount of knowledge of body piercings and doesn't limit himself. He will talk you through your piercing so you know exactly what you're getting and how he is going to do it. They offer a wide range of body jewelry to choose from. The shop is extrmely clean and very Homey. I am forever a customer of James and highly recommend him to anyone. Pros: James is always up on the new body piercing trends and offers things other shops don't. Cons: I have never been tattooed by anyone in Body Electric so I can't say anything about that. more

A Pleasant Experience...even if you are getting your nipples pierced! 6/21/2007

I went to Body Electric to get my first major piercing, and it was sensational! Brian, the owner, made my friends and I feel very comfortable. He was extremely kind (we called to say we were running late, and he kept the shop open past closing hours just for us!). He's also a really chill and interesting person to talk to. He did a great job with the piercing, allowing for the least possible pain (it really didn't hurt!) He is very helpful, and truly cares about his customer's satisfaction (and lets's just say that I was super satisfied!) The shop is very clean and has a cool atmosphere. It's a great location too! Overall, I had a great and FUN experience! I recommend this shop to anyone that wants a tat or piercing. Pros: Ambience, Parking, Customer Service more

Love it here. This is the only shop in LA that i go to. Great lade (the site wouldn't let me spell it right) back atmosphere, great service. I strongly suggest that everyone goes here. Pros: Perfect location, good parking, good prices more

I love this shop. When i walked in for the first time, i noticed all the awesome custom art and style of the shop...A lot of other shops forget that tattooing is an art form and have their walls Plastered with crappy flash. Not them!! I talked to Taka about getting a tattoo and we got started not much longer after! Everyone there is bad a**! My tattoo turned out amazing, and im coming back next week for more work! more

Brian and Ian Are the best!! 5/30/2007

Brian, the owner is awesome. He always has the best jewelry! I wanted a pair of plugs from them but they didnt have my size, so he ordered them for me and i got them the next week! Ian did my back piece and it is the sickest thing on me! He's a crazy artist!! Everyone there is amazing, so you are in great hands no matter what! I find myself going there just to hang out! more

Best Experiance EVER!! 5/26/2007

I went in to Body electric to get a very important tattoo. It was for my mother who passed away. The people there were so helpful with everything and making me feel comfortable and welcomed. The person who did my tattoo helped detail the design and i couldn't have asked for a more beautiful tattoo. While i was getting tattooed we shared stories about our families and i left there feeling great. more

Really Great work, i got a tattoo by Ian and he worked with my original design, and made it look exactly how i pictured it in my head. I strongly recommend him, and the shop. It was very clean, and everyone there is so cool. I've been to other shops, but not like this one. Pros: Great Tattoo work. very clean. The people there are awesome more

I have been looking for a place like this for a while. The people there are super friendly, their piercer is amazing. app approved. The owner, brian made me feel really welcome. MUST GO HERE! 5/1/2007

This place is phenomenal. I've been looking at tattoo studios for a realllly long time-and have only found pretentious self-absorbed JERKS all along hollywood and sunset. Finally, I stopped by Body Electric and everyone else should. I went because i needed assistance with a piercing and Brian, the guy who manages the place, was informative, genuine, and took his time making sure i got the best service. His piercings are great-and his artist's books look stellar as well. I can't wait to go back and set up an appointment again! Pros: extremely clean, great service Cons: none! more

I had a custom-designed tattoo done by Adrian, who was amazing! He took my design and perfected it drawing it freehand. He did 4 for my buddy that are the best I've ever seen for lines, color, detail. Highly recommended, but he has a long waiting list, so I guess people already know that. :) more
