Bronsen at BOCZ - A+++ 1/31/2007

I was scared to try another new stylist after so many previous bad salon experiences. My friend recommended this salon, so I just made an appointment with whoever was open. I lucked out. Bronsen was my stylist. He was honest about what my hair could and could not do. He suggested keeping my general style, but changing the layering just a bit. I loved how it turned out. I continually get compliments on it. I have gone back to him three times now. He is very friendly and funny and makes getting my hair done enjoyable. Not to mention he is very good-looking and straight – (but he is married). Also, his prices were also not as high as other salons that I have been to, they were very reasonable. I would defiantly recommend him. more

Kimber Ryan/ Color Specialist/Bocz Salon 11/15/2006

Kimber Ryan at Bocz Salon is by far the Best in Show!! She has been coloring my hair for the past 2 years and I receive compliments daily. Kimber takes her time and pride with her clients and makes you feel special, important and very good about yourself when you leave her chair. I recently made the mistake of reconnecting with another color technician and he turned my hair into a horrible color nightmare. I lived with it for a bit and finally Kimber fixed it today. It looks gorgeous. My hair is long and the process was painless thanks to Kimber! The vibe at Bocz Salon is great. Upbeat, clean, nice crew, fresh water, current magazines, helpful staff at the front desk. They give you a nice fresh cotton robe to change into and you have a safe place to leave your clothes. Other salons have a closet to change into and your clothes may not be safe. This is something that is important to me and of many business people with expensive attire. There are many parking lots in the area, street parking and of course, it is located in the heart of DT Seattle. If you are in search of a great place with a very knowledgeable team, then this is the place for you. Cheers, Lisa Rothschild~ more

Only the BEST for me! 10/1/2005

I've always had Juan DelFierro cut my hair and am always in awe of the results I get. When I'm not able to clearly tell him what I want, he seems to give me a look even better than I expect! And when I do have something particular in mind, he's a stylist that actually pays attention to what it is I'm looking for. Since my experience with Juan, I won't ever go to anyone else. He's the best and I deserve only the BEST! more

Satisfied with my New Stylist 9/29/2005

You know so many times many of us look for the the perfect "sculptor" and allot of us get lucky enough to find that person. I have had that opportunity twice. The fist stylist I had retired, so I had to look for another one. I have found that second person in Juan at Bozc Salon in Downtown Seattle. Not only is Juan good at what he does he is also gentle. Kind and personable, something you do not find in to many stylists today. It took me about six months to find Juan before I felt like I was at "at home with my hair stylist’ and am glad that I found him. There is a little saying that goes " if it ain't broke don't fix it and if it is Go see Juan at Bozc Salon...... more

Walked away with a NEW me! 9/22/2005

I've seen Juan at the salon numerous amounts of times which should say it right there. I followed him to BOCZ from the previous salon he worked with. I walk in the salon, I get greeted by not only the receptionist, but by Juan himself. Who doesn't like walking into a place where someone knows your name? I'm a person who is always up for change, and whenever I present something to him, he can always match the style perfect, and exceeds my expectations. I had a bad haircut prior to going to Juan, and he was so quick to fix what had been done, with a new style that I wore for years. He knew exactly what would look good, and is very reliable. He spends a lot of time on giving me exactly what I'm looking for. From the times that I've been to the salon, I notice that he is asked to do various things for his fellow stylists, and what is tells me, is that he is very talented in what he does, and is very experienced. I understand that he also teaches classes as well. To go to a stylist, or anyone for that matter, that teaches people their job, says a lot. I can always rely on Juan to give me what I want, and I'm always running into people who go to him as well, with the same results. Juan gives BOCZ the latest styles, and gives them happy customers, like myself. I'm always referring people to him, and I keep his business cards in my wallet all the time. I leave the salon, I'm incredibly satisfied, and always feel so fresh and new. I want to get new clothes, new make-up, new everything, just to match my new do! I always walk away with a new me! more

Follow your stylist... 9/16/2005

I go here too, get my hair(s) cut by Jordan. I've been getting my hair cut by him for about three or four years, off and on. He used to work at Rudy's (one of the few capable ones there) and when he migrated to a "loftier" salon, I had no problem paying double what I used to pay in order to get the hair cut that I wanted (he charges 45 for men, 65-I think-for women). This guy is a bit crazy, tattooed, and not what you would expect in this salon, and for that I love him. He is just a really cool guy who gives amazing cuts and doesn't feel hindered by the pretentiousness that often comes from working in a shi shi salon. Overall, this place is nice. The front desk people are exceptional. Decor is great. They offer beverages, etc. for you when you come. Nothing pompous or arrogant about the salon. It's definately a bit high brow, but not to the extreem of some places I have been (Gene Juarez comes to mind, which is just over the top). Very comfortable and inviting. more

Amber is great for curly hair! 9/15/2005

I've got curly hair and have the hardest time finding a stylist I trust with it. I've seen Amber for several years, following her from her last salon. She's the only one I feel I can say "do whatever you think will look great" and let her work her magic. I highly recommend her and Bocz Salon. Although it is a bit spendy, you are treated like a queen/king and it's worth every penny! more

the best haircut ever!! 9/12/2005

I see Melissa and she is the only person I have felt like seeing every two months. She has never been pushy about cutting my hair and she always makes me feel beautiful when I leave. She charges upwards of $60+ for a cut, but it is worth it. With over 10 years in the business, she knows exactly what she is doing, and her skills can be compared to those of a mastered artist. She's not annoying and loud, her energy is easy and comfortable to be around. She is always interested in me and my needs. I have been seeing her for close to a year now and I have never walked away without feeling completely glamorous. more

Walked away bleeding 9/1/2005

I went to Juan a few times. The first appointment was great...but every appointment after that he was either distracted with his thoughts or other employees (colorists, etc) kept interrupting, trying to get their client the next appointment with him. He wasn't even done with me and these employees were standing over me asking him how much longer would he be with me. That was the same appointment when he apparently cut me on the neck and failed to inform me of that fact. I went home to find blood all over my neck. Of course I should have ranted and raved and complained...but I just went elsewhere. Even if he had apologized, the culture of this salon does not make the customer feel valued. more

great, kinda pricy haircuts for men and women 6/25/2005

both my husband and i get our haircut by Lita at Bocz Salon in downtown seattle. my husband justifies the cost by pointing out he has super fine hair and trims anywhere else look like rats have been chewing on his hair. i go because she decides on the style for me and seems to take into account how my hair has or will respond to her clipping. my hairstyle changes by the month and i've liked everything Lita has tried so far. a couple years ago she was voted top ten hair stylists in Seattle Magazine (or something like that). she takes longer than most haircutters and therefore is usually running a tad late. $65-$75 for hair cuts. more
