Was in town this past weekend for the first time in about 9 months and a group of friends and I decided to stop in for some drinks. Whenever I come back to Erie, I am still shocked on how inexpensive it is to go out for a night. Friday was no different....Yes, a $3 cover at the door...big deal. I agree with the last post if you can't afford $3 to get in somewhere, don't go out. I would have paid $5-10 to get into the complex. It has three distinct atmospheres and really can suit any group of people.
Being from a big city with astronomical drink prices, this was like a gift from above for me. At one point I had ordered 7 red bull and vodkas & 7 jack and cokes, this was around 11:55 right before the special of 1/2 liquor ended. The bartender was not a prick about it, just made the drinks (strong, I may add) and said that will be $30...I had to do a double take, he replied $30. I gave him $40 and told him thanks.
Don't take my story for being a high roller, but from what I'm used to that order would have been close to $100. The staff is friendly, courteous and surprisingly catering (especially to a group of guys), when the night club industry caters towards females.
