Neighborhood GEM 3/26/2006

I lived on Chiswick Road and discovered the amazing pizza at Bluestone Bistro close to when I was leaving the neighborhood. The restaurant itself isn't the draw in terms of ambience but the pizza is fantastic and worth ordering, picking up. They have great salads, thin and deep dish pizza with a variety of toppings. more

Great pizza not so great service 8/27/2005

This place has tasty thick crust, doughy pizza. They have every topping that you can imagine. You can get an ordinary pepperoni pizza or be creative and top it with anything that you want. I would recommend this place for take out. I had some bad experiences with the service in the restaurant. One time, we were one of two couples in the restaurant and the service was still slow. It was also uncomfortably warm. more

Anything You Want With a Twist 6/22/2005

Bluestone Bistro takes a risk. The restaurant serves with originality. Yes, there pizza tastes as pizza ought but one has the option of many unusual toppings. Another example, they put mandarin oranges on their house salad long before mandarin oranges were being found on salads. Bluestone is also unique for being a pizza place that serves great pasta. When looking at the pasta options I am always faced with wanting too many of them. And if your friend wanted Italian and you were hoping for something else, you can choose from an array of Mexicanesque food or diverse sandwich options. Instead of having a schizophrenic effect, all of this food is tied together with a Bluestone flavor. Finally, the atmosphere is quite nice with artistically painted walls, pleasant staff, and many windows, it is not only a nice place to eat but a nice place to be. more
