Blue Tropix is a restaurant/nightclub located on Kapiolani Blvd. It’s an inexpensive place in terms of entrance (ranging from $5 - $10 cover charge) and drinks; however, I don’t really like going to this place because it doesn’t feel very safe – it’s really quite ghetto. Also, they have squirrel monkeys behind its bar – while that may be “cute” to some, I personally think it is disturbing and cruel. Other than that, though, music selection is generally good, and they have a lot of “theme” nights, so be sure to check that out before going. Also, they have a dress code – no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts.
