I don't usually do these reviews but the previous review made me laugh at how much this horrible company tries to cover up the way they treat their employees and customers. The previous comment states that they believe the bad reviews are by disgruntled employees. While that may be the case, I think it's far more likely that the last good review was made by someone who owns the company who is trying to cover their @$$. I personally AM a former employee and the way that company treats their employees is appalling. Ever wonder why there are always new employees every time you walk in? Its because the management there will fire anyone just because they are in a bad mood that week or everyone is so miserable there that they finally quit and never come back. I have also witnessed several employees being yelled at in front of customers or after customers have left due to not making a sale. Many good employees have lost their jobs while many other horrible employees have kept theirs just because they are friends with the right people. Next time you walk in to shop pay attention to how miserable the employees are. I'm sure their attitudes say it all. more

Unlike any other shop of it's kind in Utah, Blue Boutique is one of a kind! There's nothing else like it in Utah- With an incredible unique rang of specialty products and the largest Adult room I've seen in Utah with not to mention an excellent selection of quality toys and reasonable prices! Because I travel I'm always price comparing to other specialty stores locally and outside of Utah, so to read the reviews comparing their prices to that of any website...Duh, of course it's going to be cheaper, they don't have the expense of a store front, of course they'll be cheaper lol and Can You find the same specialty items there that you can find at Wal mart??? I don't think so! To compare is Funny, go outside of the Utah bubble and realize we should be happy to have such an awesome edgy store in such an oppressed place. I used to shop there but not anymore. I've seen that crazy old lady yelling at employees when shopping. She is the owner and a drunk menace who berates her staff quite often. I've also had friends who stopped shopping there after seeing the same thing happen. Plus their prices have gone up and the new piercing staff is horrible. I've seen people leave that room bleeding with crooked piercings. No thank you!! Now I shop online and get the same products cheaper. more

I recently went into the NEW Blue Boutique this Halloween season because I remember fondly of the old location on 1100e by the coffee shop. I remember the old store having the solution to what everyone in Salt Lake was looking for and how Everyone knew the name ""Blue Boutique""! It was a one-of-a-kind store that had a fantastic vibe and felt great shopping (or even just browsing). I was surprised to see what had become of what used to be a very unique, and promising store. When I walk into Blue Boutique now, I feel like I am 40 years older. This new store seems to be catering to older and elderly couples. I feel confused to see that such bland and regular lingerie can be so expensive, yet the actual clothing ranges from sophisticated to ghetto gang banger T's everywhere. The mixed diversity worked at the old store, but maybe thats because everything didn't cost an arm and a leg. Fetish wears dwindle in numbers, but is still there. Men's selection of underwear is useless unless its ment as a gag gift (isn't that what Spencer's is for?) Adult Items are just as expensive as lingerie, and nothing too special that you cant find at Dr Johns or Mischievous (Mischievous has far better selection of toys!) It seems the store doesn't know what direction to go into- targeting rich old people vs the average joe. Overall: Blue Boutique has nothing eye catching. They do not carry anything that you can't find off line (for same price or cheaper). more

Unfortunately, in SLC the only other places available to get ... 'things' are catered more to the gay community, so it's very frustrating to go into a business like this, hoping not only to find a good product, but not feel completely awkward when buying such intimate items. When I walk into Blue Boutique, I'm rarely greeted. And on those few occaisions when I had been addressed, it seemed as if it was taking all they had to scrounge up a smile. Just really horrible service. Too bad, because they could have a monopoly with womens intimate products. more

i will buy my stuff online from now on, cheaper, better selection and saving time. why/// because when there is no competition - people are going crazy with their demands... ok, i was trying something on, and they suggested that i 1. put my bag OUTSIDE LOCKER ROOM so anyone can take it while i am undressed... or 2. give it to the girl who will put it behind the counter.... i was so shocked that i did do it and found my 300 - dollar purse laying down on the floor between feet of cashier and she occasionally was stepping on it. and then i remembered i have cash in my purse of 2700 dollars and cashier 's check.... and all my id and overall i felt violated and i believe it is against my right as a consumer. they cannot request me to give them my purse if they do not have a locker ith only me having a key. who would be responsible for valuable items in my purse. i talked to the manager and she put all the fault on the cashier... like it was a cashier who was at fault... right.... cashiers do not come up with rules, they follow instructions. i filed complaint with consumer protection bureau and waiting for reply. more

I went in to the Sugarhouse store the other day and was very impressed in the selection, and how nicely I was treated by the employees. They were personable, helpful and made me feel very comfortable shopping for ""discreet"" products. Shopping at Blue Boutique reminds me why it's so good to shop local instead of endlessly searching on line. I get the opportunity to be treated great and have fun while shopping, and also I get to check out the products and get suggestions by people who know what they are talking about! I went in and not only did i net even get greeted, but the employees didn't even help me when you could tell i had never been in the store before. There was one lady there, that claimed to be the store manager, that was so rude to me. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but she not only talked rude to me, but she was also putting down an employee right in front of me. i couldn't believe it...I wanted to tell them right then and there how terrible there service was, but she was too busy to even pay attention to me! i will never shop there again and neither should you!!! This store is AWSOME!!! the employees that work there are very polite and are NEVER pushy! They attend to your every need. The prices are very decently priced especially if you look at other places like doctor johns, keyhole, etc. they have something for everyone!!!! I went into blue boutique on monday and I have to say I do not agree with the last couple reviews written whatsoever. They were very friendly, nice, helpful, and made me feel very comfortable even though I felt somewhat embarrassed, by the time I left I was completely comfortable and not embarrassed. All the people there seemed very knowledgeable about everything and showed their personality. It would be nice if they took more styles of clothing and in more sizes then Small and Medium. I do think they have a great selection if you are a size 7 but for the real girls not much is there. Lots of wigs that are overpriced and shoes that are too well worn. Employee's are of no use to you and when you go to have them purchase items they are rude and unpolite. But what can you expect from a grunge store. It's sad that this great fun idea of an upbeat hip exchange store has to be so worthless to the average person. more

Although the nature of Blue Boutique's products and style of store may not be for everyone, I do feel they are the best at what they do. The selection is enormous. The employees are well informed. (yes, on ALL items....i can't even imagine what those employee training meetings must be like!) if you are looking to add some excitement and need some new toys this is the perfect place where you can find anything you can think of. The girls are awesome and more then willing to help you on anything that you can't find.. I have also had my tounge pierced here and the guy who did it was awesome. Some may say the prices are a bit high but hey you can walk in and out and not have to wait for your order to arrive in the mail for that hot date night,, weather it's w/ your love or by yourself! I love this store, mostly because it's really the only place in this state where you can find all things deviant under one roof. They are pricey (WAY more than you can find anything on the internet for), but I appreciate the opportunity for a hands-on examination of what I'm buying. Contrary to the other reviews, I've always had great customer service here (especially in the back room) - sometimes we just have to ask for what we want, people. I love this store! I've been going here for about 10 years, & reccomend it to all my friends. Great for unique, funny, sexy, or that out of the ordianary purchase. This store has so much variety. This store is filled with nothing but trash. The only time I would go in there is if I was trying to find a white elephant gift for someone or getting a gift as a joke. It the type of place that if you go in there you want to scrub yourself clean after you leave. but they do have friendley people there. more

The Blue Botique has hot shoes, cool clothes and the some of the best lingerie aside from Victoria's Secret. If you're into role playing, the have a pretty good selection of costumes. They have some cool sex stuff, the only drawback is you need to be at least 18 to go into the back room. For lubes, condoms and other things, they are just right in the main part of the store.
