I'm a huge movie fan and since going to the theaters is just way too expensive, I practically live at Blockbuster.
Netflix is too slow, particularly when it comes to new movies. You frequently have to wait.
So Blockbuster's new one out at a time for $14 is almost perfect for people like me. You can rent something everyday, more if you are really bored. Hey, it's Valencia, what else is there to do at night.
So that's like 30 rentals a month. Instead of paying $120 you pay $14. That's a good deal.
unfortunately a lot of people do this and coupled with the no more late fees, the odds of finding some new releases are poor.
Also this locations, is putting offices in, cutting the store in half. ANNOYING. Now, you have to constantly excuse yourself as you squeeze by people. Not a good thing. And on Friday and Saturday nights, get ready to wait a good five to ten minutes in line, because they sure aren't going to hire more people. Corporate cost cutting and Blockbuster is dying a slow death, so expect more, if the no more late fees and these new incentives don't catch on.
But there will always bee a need for Blockbusters, because there will always be a market for people who want to see the latest movie now and not have to wait two days for it to arrive from Netflix.
