Worst Hair Salon in the Mid West 10/26/2011

Wished I had read reviews for this salon before going there. It was HORRIBLE!!!!! I'm not a hair stylist or anything, or know much about hair color, but HOLY CRAP, I could have done it better with generic color from big lots.. My scalp was on fire after the color had sat on my head for 40 minutes..I advised the stylist and she told me to wait 20 more minutes..I did as told..I kept asking ""should this be burning this badly""? Was told it affects people differently. After washing out the color, & the stylist blowdrying my hair,(which u could imagine how that felt) I told her my scalp felt raw. She told me it would ease up...well it didn't. As the night went on my scalp kept hurting worse. By morning, I actually had blisters! I called the salon, asked to speak to the owner and to my surprise the owner was my stylist...OMG! I explained the issue advised I was seeking medical attention was told that I should have said something yesterday. WHAT!! I said I wanted my money refunded and was refused..Was told I could get another service instead...YOU MUST BE JOKING!!! Two weeks later the blisters were almost healed but my hair started falling out in clumps!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!! more

I had lost hair due to a surgical procedure in my fifth cranial nerve in my head. I went to the salon to have extentions put in for fullness. I gave the salon multiple chances...tried multiple designers...and I just experienced very bad service. The owner refused to correct the problem or refund even a portion of my money. The extentions wouldn't stay in and they look so unreal..it was sad. I eventually went to a salon that was experienced in extentions. Come to find out the cylinders they used to clamp the hair was way to big..that is why the hair kept falling out...and why I had sores in my scalp. After the onwer told me ""she had bigger balls than Texas and she shuts people like me up"" I made a complaint to the BBB. After the voicemail the owner left me today I am filing a complaint with the Ohio Board of Cosmetology and forwarding the voicemail to them. The owner told me that I stold my husbands checks and he called the salon and told them he never wanted me to have the checks. LOL how ate up is that? My husband couldn't believe the voicemail of the owner flat out lying like that. Sounds a bit unstable and I don't get it at all. I saved her voicemail from today and plan on filing harassment charges if I can. I had to call the police on her for calling me when I first sent the certified letter to her. The police told us to both to never contact each other again..and well here she is calling me months later and leaving me a voicemail full of lies about my husband calling her...and she is going to sue me because she don't want her bad service to get out. Honestly I think her little secret is already out ! Ive heard from other people that she is always threatning to sue everyone when she gets angry...and well she is now suing me for her salon giving horrible service. LOL Oh what is she thinking? Like I always say..if you go to a dollar store type of salon---your going to get a dollar store type of hair style and boy I sure did ! Excellent Salon!!! 10/1/2009

I've been here a few times, and have taken family members, and friends along with me. I always get the ""royal treatment"" when I arrive. I'm always offered a drink while I wait, and the wait is NEVER more than a few minutes. They've worked me in when I needed something done in a hurry, and I've always been really happy with my hair style, facial, pedicure, or manicure. I like that they are well organized, too. If you're having more than one service done, you are moved from one station to another without a long wait in between. The staff is extremely friendly, and the owner is very involved with what's going on in the salon. She makes certain that her customers are satisfied before they leave the salon. I would and have recommended this salon to anybody looking for great service, and professional styling. Pros: Excellent Stylists, Friendly Atmosphere, Reasonable Prices more

One Bad Egg... 3/9/2008

I've been to Bliss twice, which usually would mean I would reserve judgment. However... My second time there was to get my hair done for my wedding. Two of my bridesmaids and my mother went with me. Let me be clear: they all had a very positive experience, which is the only reason this didn't get a one star review. The woman who did my hair glanced at my pictures, asked me a question or two and went to work. She was 3/4 of the way done when I got to see what was going on: my hair was pouffed up like helium off my head. (I found out after the fact that all the other stylists asked how much pouf they wanted.) I said, ""Oh, it's... pouffy."" The pictures I had selected, by the way, had very little pouf. She told me, with a bit of attitude, that I ""want it that way"" and proceeded, on MY wedding day, to explain to me why. Then, without asking me what I wanted to do about it, she proceeded to try to de-pouf, which, you might guess, only lead to a bird's nest look. Somehow, she managed to be visibly annoyed with me for the rest of the time we were there. In relating this story over the weeks since my wedding, I've been surprised to find other people who know not only who I'm talking about, but agree that she is a piece of work. Bliss might be a great salon, but until they take care of this employee, I would go somewhere else. There's plenty of just as good, if not better, salons nearby. more
