Blatant Cruelty 8/3/2011

I find your sign content to be highly offensive. It conveys and promotes stereotypical discrimination by lumping all dogs of a particular breed into one negative category. For those of us who truly love animals and give our time and energy to support/advocate for shelter animals of ALL breeds this is a blatant and hurtful slap in the face. Your signage is a window into the mindset of those individuals involved in the creation of such a park. The fact that you did not give any thought to just how hurtful your sign might be to the owner of a beloved mixed breed dog who is shut out at your gate is inexcusable. Certainly, at a minimum, insensitivity at its height. I am so thankful that there are many other wonderful and welcoming dog parks. Parks where you can admire, appreciate, and be grateful to the individuals who volunteered in their creation. Like minded people tend to congregrate. Enjoy your dog park. more

I'd rate it less than one star for the dog discrimination. more

My dog isn't allowed here :( 1/31/2010

No pit bulls allowed in the Issaquah Highlands. I cannot bring my two dogs to play here. I have a pit bull mix and a lab mix. There is a big sign which almost made me cry when I arrived at the Bark Park...it has a picture of a pit bull and says "No pit bulls allowed in the Issaquah Highlands". No dog breed should be discriminated against...irresponsible owners and dog fighters are the ones who should be punished...not our family dogs. more

first off leash dog park in issaquah 8/17/2005

Bark Park in Issaquah highlands is the first off leash park in Issaquah. It has about 2 acres of land enclosed with a fence to let your dog run wild. there are large rocks for the humans to sit on, there is also a water fountain for humans and for dogs to get their fluids. There are poop bags provided. Great place to take your dog to burn off energy if you don't want to drive to marymoor or mercer island. more
