They carry North Face gear and a wide variety of clothing (men and women's). The place is highly expensive, but if you have $$, then a great place to shop. Even the clearance rack is expensive, but it's Ann Arbor, so you can expect that. Lots of camping and outdoor gear and cool gift items. Nice place to browse and staff is friendly. They have a cool dog that hangs out in there too. Check it out. more

Camping? You NEED to go to this store. 9/9/2005

Though the prices can be somewhat expensive Bivouac is an excellent place to shop for any camping/outdoors related item. They offer a wide selection of gear including everything from backpacks to tents to polyproplyene t-shirts. They also carry USGS topographic maps , which is very handy ! Bivouac remains one of my favorite Ann Arbor outdoor sports stores more

This is a wonderful store for any of your outdoor or sporting needs. They carry a lot of name brand items. They have clothing, shoes, backpacks, etc..The selection is great, but the prices are very expensive. I could easily go to another sporting good store and buy the same product for a cheaper price by far. The parking can be a little difficult - its hard to find street parking, but there is a parking garage not to far from the store. Great selection/high prices. more

Bivouac is a great store that is located right in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. It is a sports store that focuses on outdoors equipment, so it can help you with all of your camping, hiking, and backpacking needs. Their product lines range from shoes and sunglasses to tents and backpacks. Be sure to stop into this store. more

Hippies! 8/3/2005

Another store that is the quintessence of Ann Arbor. While it manages to stay away from the theme, bivouac is still quite Hippie-ish. They sell north face jackets, but don’t look here for a good price. They know all the rich kids come in to buy the hottest new puffy vest with daddy’s credit card, so they tend not to worry about discounting their material. more
