Everything I tried to order was pre-made, so there were to be no leaving anything out. more

Best Grilled Platters 1/14/2008

If ever in South Philly, this is a must. One block from Geno's and Pat's Steaks. You won't find cheese steaks and fries here... But you will find the absolute best grilled chicken I've every had anywhere. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is unique. You can sit in and eat or take out. Vareity/grocery store attached is well stocked with every imagineable item you'd enjoy. Food is always fresh; 5 or more different types of Feta cheese (Greek, French, etc.); the pita bread is delivered fresh every morning. They also do catering for any size affair/group. They provide everything you would need, and more... I highly recommend Bitar's to anyone looking for the BEST grilled food! Pros: Great food. Low prices. Large portions. more

Far away but so worth it. 1/13/2006

A co-worker took me here and I was surprised. I was not a fan of Middle Eastern food before and Bitar's changed that. I had the grilled chicken platter and it was awesome. If you are ever in the neighborhood you have to drop by. They even have a small grocery store attached to the take out that has a lot of cool stuff. Pros: price, great food, friendly staff Cons: location, location, location more
