Not worth the trip 4/22/2011

Purchased groupon....terrible place. Menu looks good, service was good, but food was not good at all. Daughter ordered Salmon salad which she was alright, nothing special. I ordered the seafood which said large shrimp and crabmeat. I had maybe one shrimp which was cut into numerous pieces, with crabmeat swimming in cream and bread crumbs sprinked on top. TERRIBLE! THis was my second trip and we will not be returning. Both times were bad. more

depressing 2/5/2011

i bought a Living Social voucher for Bistro R without hesitation because I had some pleasant meals there over the years. What a mistake. It has moved to a charmless, rather seedy location, it was understaffed, and those who were there were totally untrained. the only bright spot was that my salmon salad was good, but my husband's crabcake was mostly bread. One couple walked out while we were there - tired of waiting. How disappointing. No stars more

awful 12/16/2009

have no idea where the other reviewers ate - it must not have been Bistro R. This restaurant is HORRIBLE. Went there for lunch with my husband - what a joke. You think you're going into some nice place, since it has the name ""bistro"" in it. The tables are made of formica, and the decor is hideous. The food is even worse. I ordered a Santa Fe chicken salad. The salsa from the salad came straight from a jar, likely Old El Paso. There was barely any grilled chicken on the salad. Also, the roasted red peppers and jalapenos on the salad were clearly from a jar. If you're going to serve salsa of any sort in a ""bistro,"" it better be homemade or you better buy the good stuff (so that I don't know it's not homemade). Same thing with the peppers and jalapenos - roast your own peppers and use fresh jalapenos. It's not that difficult. Pros: nothing Cons: the food more

Very good food and service 12/14/2006

I was impressed. Both the food and service were good. I had the lamb with an excellent sauce. The rice was a surprising side dish. It had novel flavor and was more than just that white stuff to the side. Pros: Good, interesting food more

Service 1/21/2004

I am writting to express my constant pleasure in the context and the content of service at your establishment. I have been there several times and have always been made to feel wanted, comforted, and cared for. The absolute calmness in the place allowed for a delightful dinning expierence. Kudos to a particular young man..Raymond is his name, what professionalism...what smoothness. A sure delight and I would...and do highly recommend this Restaurant. Pros: Good Parking, Delicious food, Excellent Service more
