The Biopond is one of UPenn and West Philly's best kept secrets. It is a botanical garden, picnic site, and greenhouse located between Godard Labs in association with the biology department. The Biopond is free to visitors year-round who can sit on its donated benches and enjoy local vegetation and aquatic life. On any given day, it is common to see arts students sitting and sketching the surroundings. The covered picnic facility is also available for rent for large groups for a modest fee for your class or work barbeque.
