One of the all time great bars in Philadelphia! Murphys has a friendly staff, friendly patrons, good food and drinks. Billy Murphy himself will welcome you if he is there and possibly ring the bell and buy the bar a drink in recognition of your first time as a customer. Very mixed crowd and everyone is welcome. You can feel comfortable bringing your parents or your children. People come back to Billy Murphy's for years, from all over ,and people are just flat out nice. for a hidden corner place, this place has some fans. a lot of people seem to come from all over on the weekends and the week day specials get a great crowd from the neighborhood. the crowd is very diverse. a great place to sit back and have some laughs and beers with your friend. its so comfortable you feel like you are sitting in your livingroom. The only bar in East Falls worth spending your time in. I have been here numerous times over my four years in the neighborhood and every time is better than the last.
