Nate's has the best ribs in SF, but on a recent visit, I ordered the brisket of beef. Ouch. I expected something I could sink my teeth into, what I got was little pieces of chopped up beef, they were more well done than I like my meat, I asked for the mildest sauce they had and it was more spicy than what I really like (I like it mild, and it wasn't that mild.) And their salads, coleslaw and potato salad, leave a lot of room for improvement, however, because of the high quality of the ribs, still some of the best I've ever had, I have to give Nate's a thumb's up.
Pros: The ribs, not too expensive
Cons: the brisket of beef
