I shopped around for shutters on my home for nearly a month. The sales people for best buy blinds are extremely nice and return phone calls before you make a purchase. AFTER you make your purchase you cant get a hold of anyone other then the secretary and they NEVER return your phone calls. The boss is always on vacation or away from his desk. This changes from day to day depending on what secretary you talk to.\r
Lets get to my story though. In May I bought a house and needed shutters ASAP. Best Buy Blinds beat everyones price and told me it would be three weeks until I would have my shutters installed! Great! When I signed the paperwork (june 5) I told the sales person I was unsure whether I wanted 3 1/2 inch or 2 1/2 inch blinds. He said not to worry and that I could change my mind at anytime. Well, two days later I changed my mind. The bill went from 5,000 dollars to 7,000 dollars. Wow, I was never told this!! Now Best Buy Blinds was matching the competition not beating it. Because they told me three weeks I went ahead and said ok even though the sales person never mentioned less wood equaled more money!! \r
It is now August 15 and the shutters are not installed. Everytime I call Im told next week. They have already cashed 3,000 dollars for doing nothing! I fear I may end up in small claims court. Our salesman has two cell phone numbers. On one he works for best buy blinds and on the other he works for 4D shutters.\r
I have been told by neighbors and others that this company is very shady. I have no idea how they stayed in business for 26 years but I hope that this review will save someone from a 3 month ordeal and headache that I have gone through.\r
If anyone out there has had a problem, please, sign up, and share your experience. These people should not be allowed to get away with maltreatment of its customers like this.\r
Pros: Nice until you buy. Then you never hear from any of them again.
Cons: The company is worst then a nigerian scam artist
