Over Priced, Incompetent and Poor service 9/3/2010

I took my computer in to Best Buy because my computer was constantly freezing up on me. So, the Geek Squad rep told me that it would cost me $225 plus tax to repair and that it would be ready to pick up in just over a week. I agreed to leave it there since I have a laptop too that I use. When I picked up my computer a week later, not only did I lose my data, they wanted to charge me for a hard drive PLUS the installation of this new hard drive. I ended spending over $500 dollars AND lost ALL of My Data. I mean, my computer was only freezing up. The least they could have done was called me and told me 1) that they were going to destroy my data so I could at least make a decision to proceed with a new hard drive or at least go and obtain a 2nd opinion 2) that a hard drive would be added to the total cost plus the installation.\r I will never take my computer to these guys again. Unbelievable! more

Car Audio okay price, bad service 7/26/2005

I bought 2 speakers to replace the back door speakers in my Durango and asked them if they were compatable. They said yes, and it took almost 7 hours to complete. Then, when I realized that they were not at the same level as the front speakers, I called them and they said, oh well, you can bring them back and we can look at them. So, 5 hours later, oh well, if you replace the stereo and the front speakers, you will have them all at the same volume. Huh? Basically, they "forgot" to mention that they do not perform at the same level as factory speakers. Nice to know after I spent my hard earned cash, not! PROS: Speakers are reasonably priced CONS: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and LONG WAIT more

Poor Service! Very High Prices! 6/29/2005

I had to replace a hard drive several times at Best Buy and my computer still did not work after paying several hundreds of dollars. The technician was not knowledgable of how to upload or upgrade my computer. I had to hire someone outside to repair my computer that had been sitting in the dining area for a year. more

Great Sellection - Poor Customer Service 5/25/2005

Best Buy has super sellections and their rewards program is awsome. The only thing I can say is lacking in the CC store is the customer service. When anyone needs help there is what seems to be a never ending search for a rep and once one is found they are with other employees just passing the time. It would be one thing if this was an isolated incident, but I find it happening constantly to myself and others. PROS: Prices and sellection CONS: customer service avaliability more
