Best

I got everything I wanted and the prizes are quite good and reasonable as compared to others.\r Highly recommend..

Worst

Ugh, if you are 16 and like blaring music and pushy, not-so-smart salespeople, go ahead and visit Best Buy. Otherwise, well, just don't. Crazy traffic and parking at this Northgat...

Great service & overall store experience 10/27/2006

Upon purchasing a new house in Seattle, purchasing a tv (a big one) was on the top of my husband's priority list. He did most of the research online and saw that Best Buy had the best selection and prices. We visited the Bellevue store and while I was less than enthusiastic about the large purchase, the salesman was very patient in understanding what we were looking for and took extra time to explain the pros and cons of each model. We were in and out in less than and hour and a new TV was delivered within the week. It was much less painful than I thought! more

I am sick of huge corporations. 4/15/2006

I went to help a friend buy a computer today. We checked out CompUSA, Circuit City, The Apple Store, and Best Buy. My friend decided that he would purchase a computer from Best Buy because they truly did have the "best buy". However, their service was sub-par. I suppose that is the cost of a lower price. Not only did the original store we went to have sub-par service, but they sent us in a wild goose chase to two other stores, finally ending at the Everett store. This was the worst service I have ever received. Not only did this employee not seem to care about my friend and his experience in that store, but my friend had cash in hand and the employee shrugged him and his questions off. He claimed they did not have the model that we were specifically sent to Everett to pick up, but he just took off with no explanation only to help another customer next to us a little bit later, with not so much as an explanation. We then took it upon ourselves to find a manager, who ended up finding the right computer and then spent the next hour trying to sell us on their service warranty (supposedly this covers accidental damage). Which, by the way, sucks too. I bought it for a camera and when the camera stopped working I was told that I had dropped it and it wasn't covered under their warranty (when I shared this anecdote with the store employees they didn't seem shocked that I was treated in this manner at a different store and was told that I should have made the 30 minute jaunt to their store). I find myself sickened by these large corporations. Whether their warranty is flawed or their training of employees, I have never had a good experience at them. more

best buy 9/14/2005

Best Buy is a great store for electronics! It's actually my only favorite store to ever purchase movies, dvds, music, and any other electronics. They also sell cellphones there. There is one at Northgate Mall, next to Target. They sell computers, tvs, phones. Any electronics, you name it! and all for good prices. SOmetimes they have good discounts, so try looking for them in the many, to get half off some products. more

Check out the Geek Squad for Computer Support House Calls 7/12/2005

I haven't used these guys but I have several friends that have and they've been pleased for the most part. The Geek Squad is a service offered by Best Buy. Call the store and ask to speak with someone or you can probably go to their Web Site and get the direct number. In any event, they offer full service computer help from installation and configuration to trouble shooting and problem solving. more

Geek Squad 6/28/2005

Hi Myrna. I've never used them but I've heard good things. All you have to do is call your local Best Buy and ask to speak with someone at the Geek Squad. It sounds silly (because it is) but the Geek Squad is Best Buy's services group that helps folks like you solve problems like the one you described. Again, I haven't used them before but I know others that have and they've had good experiences. Good luck! more

Usually can save some $$ here 10/6/2004

Whenever my fiancee and I are going to buy something computer related and don't want to wait for Internet shipping, this is where we go. They always have what we want, and 9 times out of 10 it's there at a better-than-average price as well. The store is organized from most ordinary stuff to most techie stuff, with refridgerators and household equipment at the far left, then music, then computer games, then tons of computers, monitors, peripherals, RAM, hard drives, etc. Geeks will feel right at home amidst the computers, with a plethora of really cool stuff - but the staff is friendly and helpful, so you will also get the help you need if you don't know much about computers and need help with a purchase. more
