Bernie's Specialty Cake Shop

I was very satisfied with Bernie's Cakes. This is my second wedding after 14 year. The cakes was just as beautiful the 2nd time. Bernie's has many several of my family members cakes and they were wonderful. The fountain color was the exact color as the girls dresses and the theme. Pros: Bernie and son easy to work with. Great flavor Cons: didnt get any of the 15 flavors.....lol more

Bernies is a fantastic place to get your wedding cake. Bernie and Ron both work together to make your wedding cake a picture of beauty. My future daughter-in-law lived in Nevada and we met with them twice to make sure they knew what she wanted for a cake. The samples you taste are delicious, even though they have been frozen. Ron listens to your ideas and offers ideas on how to make the cake look better. Everyone we worked with to make the wedding a memorable occasion was helpful. Ron actually arranged the flowers he would be using on the cake on the table to make sure when they were placed on the cake they would look great. We were able to use a stainless cake stand, which my daughter-in-law was looking for. I cannot say enough good things to describe our experience with Bernies. I read the last review about how they ordered a cake topper without permission and find that hard to believe. Bernies has cake toppers in their shop and would not need to order one elsewhere if they were going to use one. They could use what they have. Kudo's to Bernie and Ron for making our wedding reception look so exquisite with the cake & decorations on the cake! What to say about Bernies Cakes! I do have to say that Bernie herself is a great and wonderful lady. She is very sweet. That is the only think I can say good about their service. When my now husband and I were shopping for our wedding cake, we heard great things about Bernies. After sitting through the sons hours and hours of off beat jokes about how horrible marriges and women hating jokes we finally were able to look through their books of wedding cakes. We thought they were really pretty, and we loved how their food tasted. We decided that listening to the son, would be worth having a really beautiful cake. We designed our dream cake. We told him that we did not want a cake topper. We wanted a square cake with a dark red ribbon around it, and rose petels on the table. He told us he would order the rose petels. We would have to pick them up and drop them off the day before the wedding. When we went to pick up the petels he ordered from our florist, we were amazed to find out that he took the liberty to order a cake topper. We ended up being obligated to pay $45.00 for a cake topper that we did not even want. We were not very happy, but we didn't have time to fight it. Pros: Bernie is nice Cons: Her son is a sexist who isn't fond of marriage, they don't do a good job on your cake, they will change your design without your knowledge and make you pay for it!! more
