Didn't See A Docotr During My Consult 4/9/2008

I went to Berkley for a consult on Lasik 2 months ago. The staff is friendly for the most part and knowledgeable. I received a tour of their facility and the inital test were run by a treatment coordinator. I am assuming that was her title because she never told me. I was not introduced to a doctor or even examined by one during my consult, which was free of charge. I was told that if I decided to schedule my lasik with them then I would have to come back again to be evaluated by a docotor to make sure I was a good lasik candidate. I found this inconvienent. Also, while I did not expect this procedure to be inexpensive, I found Berkley to be very highly priced. The first available appointment they had was about 4 weeks away. I did not schedule my surgery with them and by the time they called me to follow I had already had my lasik done by Woodlands Custom Vision in Market Street. Woodland's Custom Vision had their surgical assistant run all my initial tests, show me around their facility, made sure I saw a doctor to make sure I was a candidate immediatley, they were less expensive (with higher quality equipment based on my assesment), and they got me in within 10 days. Pros: Lots of Experience Cons: Over Priced, Hard to Get An Appointment more
