I have taken my hunk of junk to Ben White South & North several times in the past few years and have been pleased with the service every time. The mechanics do a good job for a reasonable price. At other mechanics, I have taken my car in with one problem & left with a new one. I have never had this problem with Ben White. The staff is friendly & reliable. Billy has always been very helpful and patience in explaining the issue with my vechicle and going over everything that was fixed. The prices are very reasonable and I have not had an issue like have had with other service shop that I use to go to in the past. I have been going to the Ben White Automotive on Research since they have opened their doors. I have had personal and business vehicles repaired, probably a total of 8 different makes and models. Every job has been completed on time with perfect attention to detail. Warranty work has never been a problem and I never felt that unnecessary work was done to inflate the final bill. more

I have been taking my cars to Billy for a while. He is always fair and will take you out in their shop and show you the problem or potential problems. I like this. Most places don't do this. I have a Ford Ranger truck, a Cadillac, and a Chrysler. These vehicles range in age from 14 to 7 years old and ""Billy"" at Ben White keeps them running fine. more

I first used Ben White automotive after a recommendation from a friend. I am always leary of auto repair facilities because of some bad experiences in the past. I found Oscar (sevice manager) to be upfront and straight forward in his explainations about needed repairs and their cost. I know mechanics aren't cheap and I don't mind paying a fair price for a needed repair. I have used Ben White auto for the past 5 years for repairs as well as a lemon tester for any used car I have purchased. Don't buy a used car without having it inspected by experts. The written diagnosis is a great tool for bartering down the vehicles cost also. I would recommend BWA without hesitation. Pros: Straight forward advice more

I took my '97 Civic EX to Ben White Automotive on Jollyville (the original location is on Ben White Blvd/US 290/TX 71) when I live at Riata Apartments across US 183 from Ben White Automotive on Jollyville only because it was the closest place to where I lived and I need the car repaired so I could get it inspected. I found a gem. The employees are nice and cordial and to the point. They will explain why they recommend a service or part and what can happen if those are not used. I have been taking my car there for the last two years. My roommate was so impressed with the repairs that he started taking is 2001 Acura RSX there. With a North America wide warranty with NAPA, you cannot go wrong. I have not had to use that option but it is great to have that kind of protection. The first reviewer of this, the single female, hit many valid points. Kudos to Ben White Automotive for proving there are still good businesses to be found. The only complaint is that they do not have appointments (but I can understand since people may not keep them). Pros: Price, Service, Warranty Cons: No appointments more
