My husband and i have been shopping at Bel for years and went in just to look the other day and ended up leaving with 2 chairs for the sitting room. I've never seen this particular style at any of the other big stores. Very rounded arms, wooden legs, and a neutral fabric color. They mesh well with our other furniture perfectly. more

I just got married and my wife and I bought a house. I was working on a budget due to my recent INVESTMENTS wife, house, wedding . I was shopping around and came across BEL Furniture. I was looking for a bedroom set, and was a bit nervous of being pressured like some of the other stores. A sales rep named Mike asked if I needed help. I said no, but where are your bedroom sets he kindly pointed the way. As I was looking; I came across a familiar piece that I saw at Rooms To Go, but BEL s prices were a bit cheaper. I loved the style of the piece at Rooms To Go but was out of my budget. I looked for Mike, and asked for a little information. He told me basically what I needed to hear, and slam dunked the deal when he said an additional 10% percent off and free delivery if I purchase with cash. My wife loved it, and with that additional money I saved I bought us a new mattress. As I was purchasing they were very polite, and I cant remember the managers name, but i believed he over heard us being just married. He walked up to congratulate us, and pushed the delivery for the next morning, and gave us a free wood protector cleaner. That right there made me feel a bit good about myself being a customer. I received my furniture the next morning as promised. I was very HAPPY with this Furniture Company. I do not understand many of these bad comments, because i had the BEST experience being a customer at BEL furniture. more

For my 60th birthday, my son really pulled out all the stops! Bel Furniture was offering TVs with the purchase of furniture sets, so my son decided to get me a new 10 piece living room set. He has wanted a 3D HDTV for so long and he knew that I would love new furniture, so he put two and two together and we both got what we wanted-perfect! more

Was very pleased with the not-too-pushy sales service, but when I found what I was looking for, there was a salesperson not too far away. They scheduled my delivery, and the delivery came on time. Overall, I was very pleased. more

Bel furniture Humble Hwy. 59 4/20/2012

Bought a mattress & box springs. Delivery guys left it in plastic & hauled A$$. When we opened the plastic, found the box spring had a cut on top but kept it because it was needed ASAP. Delivery had taken 2 weeks & cost $99.00 even though we live close to the Humble store on Hwy.59. Bought a new living room set & 1 nightstand. Delivery guys again tried to dump & run but this time I stopped them. When plastic removed from nightstand, 2 big chips of wood missing on front. So driver gets out a marker & colors over the missing chunks & says ""there, good as new."" Ugh, isn't is new?"" Love seat had a worn place on arm where fabric meets wood, no padding under it so material very thin & rubbed & looks like ti will give way any second. Sofa had a cut on top of arm from box cutter. so I called cust. serv. before driver left. They said to keep the set & they would exchange it for another set. One more week goes by, another set arrives & these are in worse condition than the 1st set. Back of sofa had missing material & you could see where it was stapled, staples sticking out! Rubbed place on this love seat even worse than 1st one so I refused sofa & love seat & kept the original set. RUDE delivery men, said to me""some people just want everything to be prefect."" Well, YES, when I am spending money on new furniture, I DO expect it to be perfect! Tags on sofa & love seat didn't even match. Had I sent the 1st set back (left the tags on), it would have been shrink wrapped again & sent to the next person who bought it. When you lean against the sofa, the wood arm creaks! In the store, 5 customers were there saying their furniture had arrived broken & damaged. They NEVER tell you there are no refunds, just ""sign here"". What you are signing is saying there are no refunds, you can choose something else, but never a refund. Very poor quality junk furniture, no customer service. I doubt this garbage will last 6 months. I will never buy from them again. And the worst delivery men I have ever seen. Left my storm door & front door open, left trash in my house & yard & balls of tape on floor & scratched my wood floors when putting the PLASTIC legs on sofa & love seat. I kept asking them to please set it on the area rug & they just ignored me. Bought the warranty for fabric stains & have been waiting 2 weeks for the kit to clean the stains, just keep saying 'it hasn't come in yet, we'll call you."" Not holding my breath. more

We booked living room furniture and requested them to delivery on 21st Mar-12, we got call from them and informed that will deliver on 21st Mar and requested us to stay at home during delivery day. Again we got call from delivery perrson they will come and deliver between 1PM to 5 PM. But no one turned up, then later on when we called delivery person and asked about tthe status they informed us will come of delivery as per schedule, but no one turned up or received currtosy call from bel furniture. Then again we called Bel furniture shop and asked the status.. they said will get back to us after they check with corporate office. Same story was continued for 3 days... my self and wife waited for 3 days, but none of the sales rep or corporate office called us and inform the status of delivery. Again 4th day when we called they said they have rescheduled for 27th Mar. That too without our consultations. That point of time also we are not sure they will deliver on 27th Mar or will continue the same story based on ignoring customerr concerns and no responsible perrson called from bel furniture. My strong recommendattion would be don't go for furtunure and don;t expect any calls from them , incase of any delivery delay. We completely fed up their delivery and customerr satisfaction. If you really good furniture and good customer service, then don't go to bel furniture and suffer like us. more

Went into Bel to buy a new bedroom set and was excited to find their mattress section. My next stop was going to be a different mattress store but turns out Bel had better prices than where I was planning to go. Gotta love a one-stop shopping experience that saves time & money! more

Bel-we don't know what the hell we are doing-furniture 9/7/2011

I bought a living room suite. Got the furniture on time exactly when they said it would be delivered. Got a call from the delivery people and they told me when to expect the truck. Two guys came and brought in the sofa, love seat, tables, lamps. Unpacked them and set it all up. They did an excellent job. But...... with the furniture came a 51 inch HDTV. Now there is where the problem comes in. The salesman told me the TV would come from Best Buy and that after delivery of the furniture, wait 5 business days and call Best Buy. I did. Best Buy had nothing. I called the store, they said call the Main Store in Houston. I did and they said the info went to Best Buy and check after 4PM. I did that and nothing. I called again and they said tomorrow. So I called the local store again and they said they would call the main office and find out for me. Now we are getting some where. Okay, she said the TV is being sent on the delivery truck tomorrow and you can pick it up at the local store. What about Best Buy I asked. Well, sometimes we ship it from the warehouse and not from Best Buy. Okay, what do I do now. Call me tomorrow afternoon after 5:30 PM and I will let you know if it came on the truck. So I called at 5:30 and she was not there. I asked where she was the was told she took off the afternoon. I said I would call back in the morning. I was told that she would be off the next day too. So I tried my best to talk to the woman that answered the phone but her accent was so strong and my hearing so poor that I couldn't make much sense out of the conversation. But she said that the delivery truck had not got there yet. Call in the morning and see if you TV came in on the truck. We don't know yet!! Can you believe this sh*t? Who knows what tomorrow brings but if I don't get it then I will be back to amend this feedback and write my letter to BBB and anyone else who might just give a sh*t. You can say sh*t. Well, the next day I called and she didn't know and would call me back before 12 noon. No call so I called and asked for the store manager. He said that there was no delivery truck shipments on Thursdays! He said he would call and see if my TV was going to be on the Friday shipment. He called me back and said that he was told it would be on the Friday truck. I am to call Sat and see if it came in. Stand by for an update. Now today is Saturday and I called and the TV in there for me to pick up. Hopefully it is in an unopened box and I will accept it. If you really want to know about customer support call: Customer Service 832-358-8899 ext. 250 and see how long it takes for them to call you back because 9 times out of 10 all you will get is a voice mailbox. I am still waiting after 4 days of placing a call. The furniture is great. The salesman was great but needs a little schooling about delivery procedures but the rest of the crew sucks. Well except Ed at the San Antonio store takes his job serious. more
