I was in wandering around San Francisco one day looking for a haircut and manicure. I walked by this place and was shocked by their low prices. When I looked through the window and saw that it was actually a cute (safe) place I walked in and asked if they could fit me in. I have never ever met nicer people in a salon in my life (maybe because I live in Boston). The ladies (Amelia and I can't remember the other woman's name) treated me like I was a celebrity! They asked me how much time I had and I told them there was no limit. They spent 20 minutes washing my hair (scalp massage, deep conditioning, the whole nine yards). Then one worked on my hair and the other worked on my nails. They brought me a tray of tea, kept asking me if I was enjoying myself, ect. Each time a new customer came in it was as if they were family! They knew every customer's name, were very attentive, and absolutely pleasant to be around. Needless to say, it was by far the best haircut I've ever had. Usually my cuts look good when blown out by the stylist but I can never achieve the same effect at home. Not the case this time! This lady knew what she was doing. I also went out for drinks that night and got compliments on my nails. I think altogether I paid 45 or 50 dollars plus tip!!! SOOO worth it!!! Definitely not your typical trip to a salon on Newbury St. in Boston which probably would have set me back around 150-200 dollars. I can't wait to get back out there again for another day at BeautyWorks!! It's worth the 6hr 20min flight!!!
