Bazil offers Italian cuisine like so many restaurants around town. The food is average compared to the likes of other Rochester hot spots, namely the Olive Garden (OG), Davinci's, and Cavacoris.
While Bazil offers a huge selection (including many desserts a la carte), it does not have any standout entrees that are must haves and would warrant future visits.
I chose the Shrimp Pasta Alfredo as my main course upon my last visit. Unfortunately, the shrimp costs extra, as does chicken if that is more to your liking. The entree was average, and I found myself longing for the OG.
The service was good, but overall, I would have to say that I will stick to the familiar path from now on when I feel like Italian. That road leads to the OG.
