Worst

DO NOT GO HERE. This is only the 2nd time in my life I have written a review of something. I'm a native New Yorker and therefore do not need my hand held through day to day events...

Dr. Jean Curran and Dr. Leah Tessler 5/29/2012

Dr. Jean Curran and Dr. Leah Tessler are my doctors, and they are both great. Bayspring receptionists are courteous and helpful. Medical assistants call back with needed info. Whatever problems may have been in the past, isn't it time to delete these old reviews? (from 2008, 2007 & 2006!) more

Dr. Marilyn Milkman 7/30/2011

I have been a client/patient for nearly 20 years now. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Milkman who is a wonderful gynecologist! She is experienced, patient, very thorough and easy to communicate with. Most importantly, she listens to you when you need to be heard. I have found her very caring and accommodating if an urgent matter arises. As a former city employee it was easy to see doctors in San Francisco. I no longer work in San Francisco and make a personal choice to travel the hour just to keep my doctors especially doctor Milkman from Bay Springs Medical Group! She is awesome!!!! more

Dismissive, Arrogant, Rude 4/21/2008

DO NOT GO HERE. This is only the 2nd time in my life I have written a review of something. I'm a native New Yorker and therefore do not need my hand held through day to day events. I am a thick-skinned person. Having said that, I have never been treated so poorly when it comes to the care of my health. I agree w. all the other negative postings regarding rude front desk staff, butafter my last visit I now know it's all coming from the top.\r \r There isn't enough space for me to explain each god-awful thing that went wrong with this office: from the rude front staff, to NEVER being given the opportunity to see an MD until I demanded it (though the NP's are the best part), to the final straw of requesting to see a Gyn. MD (due to a gyn issue i was having & my new decision to go off the pill after 8 yrs) & having an INCREDIBLY RUDE GP (Jean Rhow -sp?) see me instead - mind you I figured this out myself by checking out website when i got home from my nightmare visit. When I called to explain that I was really upset by this & needed to not only reschedule with a Gyn MD but not be charged for this visit, the front desk put Rhow on the phone. She proceeded to become confrontational with me on the phone blabbering that she could do much of the same things a Gyn MD can (hello, inferior complex) & it got to the point where I had to raise my voice at her just to get a word in & put crazy-girl in her place. Def one of the most insane moments of my life.\r \r Dr. Tessler (the clinic director) then took a full week to return my phone call and proceeded to tell me in a flat tone that i wasn't ""a good fit"" for their office (interesting). I told her I fully agreed since i expect to be treated with competence & respect at my physician's office. My insurance has since been charged for the visit even though Tessler said it wouldn't be. And when I called for a copy of my records, I was told that it would be $15-25 .\r \r I now see Dr. Fung Yee Chan at 3838 Sacramento. She rocks! Cons: Incompetent MD's, rude reception, inefficiently run, medical errors, thin walls more

Bayspring is anything but a bubbling spring 3/26/2007

I had the unfortunate experience of working at Bayspring many years ago. I see not much has changed by what others have said here, in this forum! Lack of compassion, caring, respect, and understanding was in every department of Bayspring. I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years, and to this day, Bayspring was the worst working experience in my career. \r Take your healthcare needs somewhere else, where you will be treated with kindness and respect! You do have the choice and the right to be treated better! more

Receptionist and Office staff are horrendous 9/19/2006

I needed a medication refilled and was very concerned about my health. The office staff was incredibly rude and hung up on me when I got upset about trying to get a temporary refill until the doctors returned. In addition the receptionist is so rude everytime I call. She acts annoyed that I am bothering her with making an appt. It creates anxiety and I plan to drop my doctor at Bayspring because of it. They need to upgrade their staff soon -- rude people are not worth my business! Cons: Office Staff more

Avoid! Bring your money and health concerns to people who care. 8/25/2006

I will never go back to this place. Aside from the ill-trained and infamously rude receptionists (check them out on yelp), the treatment rooms are separated by paper thin walls. You can easily hear all the ailments of the people in the rooms next to you...which means they can easily hear yours. \r \r It's impossible to see an actual doctor here, but the worst is the cold and uncaring personalities of the women up front. \r \r My take on this ailing practice is that if rudeness, and lack of warmth and lack of care is how they treat people on the outside, how on earth can they provide good care for people on the inside?! more

Rude receptionist 7/31/2006

I've heard great things about the doctors here and called to set up an appointment. The receptionist informed me very rudely that the doctor I wanted to see was not taking new patients, did not attempt to refer me to a different physician, and hung up. She seemed annoyed that I even called. They really ought to consider training or rehiring their receptionist - I'll be looking elsewhere. more

Excellent health care! 4/3/2006

The doctors and nurse practitioners I have seen at Bay Spring have all been excellent. They spend time with you and answer all of your questions. Also, I love the fact that whenever I have an appointment, the waiting room is not packed with people and I am always seen promptly at the time of my appointment and sometimes even early! The doctors at Bay Spring run their practice in a way that is respectful of their patients. more

Rude office staff 2/1/2006

I spoke with the receptionist on the phone to change an appt. She was impersonal and rude. After friendly attempts to engage her, I finally told her I would bring my business elsewhere. At this point, she hung up on me. I am so happy I never received services there. Their receptionist was bad enough... Cons: Rude, Impersonal more
