Editorial review from Citysearch 10/30/2013

Absolute highway robbery! Shop, shop, shop other auto repair services first. As a business owner myself I expect everyone to make a buck but not to this extent. Parts are marked up sometimes over 100%, even more than luxury car dealerships. Compare part prices with dealers, auto repair shops and part stores and you will see. When choosing this repair shop, hold on to your wallet and your first born, unless you don't want either of them. (by the way all their other reviews are from ""Google User"", funny how such happy customers won't put their name on their review) more

HONEST RELIABLE & AFFORDABLE 5/3/2011

Don't be FOOLED by FOOLS. The people who criticize one company are the ones who criticize EVERY company. They never have anything good to say about anyone. This company is one of the most honest auto repair shops around. I have a judgement against another vehicle place, who lied and cheated me out of money. I won't ever trust another place as much as I trust Bayleaf Auto. more

BAYLEAF AUTO does it right, big or small. 10/13/2008

I recently took my Northstar engine Cadillac to Bayleaf Auto Repair to have headgaskets changed. The repair requires the complete removal of the engine and transmission from the car, a job which most privately owned repair shops will not even touch. I consider myself a ""carguy"" and fairly knowlegable about cars and both owners Linda and Joe answered all my questions going into the job. I was very satisfied with the work done and the time it took to do it. What probally impressed me most was the clean condition of the car when it was returned, which in my opinion is a reflection of the care taken in doing the repair.\r \r I also have a 79 classic car which had a engine hesitation issue. Joe personally took the time to diagnose a problem that required a $8.00 part to repair. I've owned similar cars for 20 years a no repair shop has been able to or more importantly has taken the time to make this repair. I was so satisfied I bought bagles for the whole crew the next day (being from NYC I knew they would appreciate this.) Highly Recommended. more

Honesty is a hard trait to find, but my mechanic's got it! 9/17/2008

I am a regular at Bayleaf and I always know that I am getting quality service. The technicians are very honest and helpful. When there is something wrong with my car, one of the tech's sit down with me and explain exactly what is wrong, and if the repairs are necessary. I have been to other repair shops and have not gotten the quality service that I have received at Bayleaf. Now it's the only place I go to for quality, fast service, and the only place I will ever go! I definitely recommend them if you are looking for an honest mechanic; they are extremely hard to find now-a-days! Pros: experienced, fast, quality service, honest more

Honest competant service with fair prices 3/10/2007

My first dealings with this shop was for an intermittant problem with my pick up. Occassionally it would momentarily\r lose power and then go back to normal. I spent a fortune on the shotgun approach changing parts that might be bad and \r had several people look at it to no avail. I took a chance and tried here. They ran a diagnostics and found a bad oxygen sensor and changed it. It's been a few years and that problem has not returned. I've been taking both my vehicles there ever\r since. They always do their best to accomidate my scheduling\r needs. They employ first rate mechanics and Joe (of Joe and\r Linda-the owners) is a very honest experienced mechanic\r himself. Both my vehicles are thirteen years old and I've had\r some oddball problems with both. So far they've successfully\r tackled every challenge I've thrown their way. They're right\r off of Six Forks Rd about two miles North of I-540 and just a\r few hundred feet North of where Durant and Six Forks meet.\r If anyone out there is in need of a good mechanic, I think they are definetly work giving a try. I did and I've been going back\r ever since. Pros: Service/Value Cons: N/A more
