Barrier Islands Surf Shop is one of the more unique surf shops on Folly Beach. They just moved to a new location, giving them twice as much room as before to stock the latest in surf gear from surfboards, wetsuits, board shorts, bathing suits and more. They offer surf lessons and surfboard rentals and also have a wide selection of skateboarding gear. The owners are young and hip and friendly local surfers who are just fulfilling their dream of owning their own surf surf shop and are in the process of adding a cool tiki bar and lunch stop to their dream. It is a great place to go to get all your surf gear for fun in the surf.
