Books & magazines 8/15/2005

Two level building with so many books. On the first level there is wide selection of magazines. Big children selection with little chairs you can sit with your children. A starbucks cafe with tables for you to browse before buying (or have a cup of joe). On second level cookbooks, law, medical info, and fiction and non-fiction. The staff are very helpful and can order for you if they do not have it in stock. Plenty of parking outside. more

not the best 7/2/2005

Not a typical B&N experience. This store is small and crowded, with less than helpful staff. Not the best effort. Parking is not a problem. Cafe is nice, but again, small. more

disorganized and unhelpful 6/14/2005

It sure looks like there are a lot of books in there, but Barnes & Noble somehow, uncannily, always seems to be out of not only the title you're requesting, but the entire related area of inquiry. And basically, after dealing with too many booksellers who don't know where the poetry section is and cashiers who need to call their manager off his lunch break to help cancel an overring or accept a check, I've concluded that this place is just too poorly run to be trusted. I guess that sometimes you could luck out (they have the usual trade paperbacks, biographies of the month, etc.), but *why* shop here when you could patronize Booksmith, New England Mobile, or any other place that's better stocked, better staffed, and managed with love? more
