This place only gets one star because the doctors I have had there (particularly Dr. Charity Forstmann) are wonderful. Billing is the problem. The first time I went there I did not have insurance (recent college grad). They said I needed to have a pregnancy test done (there was no way I was pregnant) along with a vast assortment of other tests. Now these tests were a good idea- however I had no insurance so after they took my blo0d I told them to hold off with the actual testing until I had insurance. They said that would be no problem and two weeks later I receive a call telling me my tests have come back. They proceeded to try to charge me for them- and after cross checking with my doctor they apologized and told me they would take care of it. The appointment (which did not include a pelvic exam but was me speaking with the doctor and a pregnancy test) cost WELL over $200. I like Dr. Forstmann so I gave it another try about a year later when I had insurance. They gave me another pregnancy test (which they said was $30) and pricked my finger to see if I was anemic (an in-house test that took about five minutes to perform). I was later charged over $800. YEAH. It has been six months- each time I call I do not receive a call back. I finally left a very unhappy voice mail and someone returned my call. I have received three bills since then- each coming down about $200 from the last. My final bill is over $200 (mind you my co-pay was $40) and they are unwilling to work with my insurance group to lower it. The billing at this place is completely ridiculous and their utter lack of customer service is unacceptable. I highly recommend Dr. Forstmann... if she gets the hell out of this practice and starts her own.
Pros: The Dr.'s are wonderful.
Cons: The billing is hellacious.
