Brought our lab mix here for temperament test and staff did a great job, treating her well. The facility was clean and they are caring and knowledgeable.

I can watch my baby on the Cam 2/8/2011

While looking for a good place for my Dog to stay for a week, I did random interviews with other people with dogs. I made surprise visits to different doggy care places that were close to where I live and work. I made a couple visits unannounced, to the Barking Lounge to make my decision. Then I brought my dog in for just a day visit. They treated her so good. Like she was immediately part of their family. The people there call her by name when we come in. They love all the dogs there and there is always someone in the play area with them. I can watch my baby when I have to leave her there. I use a colorful color so that I can recognize her. There is a sheet to complete that instructs the care givers on how to feed, and fulfill any requirements. There is also a form that needs completion by you that shows that your dog has had its shots so as to protect the other dogs from any unknown virus. I highly recommend the Barking Lounge. I feel my dog is safe when she has to go there. more

super clean 7/30/2008

I was so stressed out trying to find a safe and loving place for my 18mth dog. This was her first boarding and I was impressed with the thorough way they screened incoming dogs. I also like how the big dogs are in a seperate building from the small dogs, The place smells very clean and I love how they use steam to sanitize as it is not toxic. In a perfect world I would like a better record of my dogs stay rather than the 5 words I got on a card as I was very quickly checked out. A little impersonal. My dog was exhausted and had a bit of a cold...she seemed really stressed out so I don't know if I would board her again...next time I will probably have house service. Boarding is no the best option for every dog. This place was the best option I found in this type of service. Pros: CLEAN, alot of staff, convenient location Cons: Too many dogs, insufficient communication more

They always take great care of my baby! 5/28/2008

I love when I walk into the Barking Lounge with my dog and they greet her by name! We don't take our dog here too often so it always impresses me when they remember her. I love that I can look for her on the web cam and see how much funs she's having. When I picked her up, they even had a cute little ""doggy report card"" that told me about her day. They said that she was very sweet and cuddly with the staff and they even named a few of her new ""friends"". :) It was adorable! I hung it on the refrigerator. :)\r \r I'm not an expert on Seattle doggy daycares but the price seems a little bit steep. And they close at 5pm on the weekends. It'd be nice if they closed at 7pm, like they do on weekdays. Another con is that it's an all-indoor location and she only gets taken out twice per day. I understand that they have lots of dogs to walk, but I let my dog out at least 4 times per day. I hope she's okay holding it.\r \r Overall, I love this place. I am totally confident that they will take good care of my dog and she always comes home exhausted. I love it. Pros: AWESOME staff, webcam and report cards! Cons: Shorter hours on weekends, not much outside time for dogs more

My dog loves the Barking Lounge! 10/21/2007

I've been taking my dog to the Barking Lounge for over a year. He LOVES the staff and his furry friends! I haven't had any problems with the staff--in fact, they have called me after a stay if they noticed anything out of the ordinary. I like the webcam, too, since it's nice to know that I can check on him while I'm away! Pros: location, staff, webcam more

Don't take your doggie here !!!!!!! 7/13/2007

The owner and staff of this business are disorganized, confrontational, and lack critical commucation skills and the minimal skills to take care of doggies. Our two dogs were left in the kennel they shared ( a small kennel) for 32 hours before contacting us ( we were out of town) regarding a paperwork omission that I was told was an mistake they had made, and that I had to correct it via fax before they would let our doggies out of they're kennel to be in the open play area. The owner aurgued with me....stating the I was not considered a customer.....and that my doggies would not be released out of the kennel until I corrected the oversight that his staff had made. The minute we could return to Seattle, my husband and I picked up our doggies. This staff and owner displayed Darwinism at it best. \r I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOGGIE DAYCARE. \r \r S&S\r Cons: Horrible experience for our doggies....horrible experience for my husband and I! more
