Remember it? Bar None sure doesnt dissappoint when it comes to conjuring up memories of dirty frat house basements and cheap beer. The bartenders are satisfactory and the place has sports games on the tv's. Beer pong tables in the back. There is certainly a laidback atmosphere to the place. A little dodgy at times but, so was college right? Overall if you are looking to remember college, and prolly end your night in the same fashion ,then check this place out. Otherwise, if you dont need to remember, steer clear. more

Good prices, nice people. 4/12/2008

This is the first bar i went to when i moved to the Bay and i recomend it for anyone wanting to meet new people. The waitstaff is very polite, prolly the best drink prices in town and the patrons in general are usually pretty cool. I love this bar and i always meet cool people when i go. Go early Friday evening, week days are dead. more

Great place to get together with friends from college... 3/5/2008

The best times to go would be in the late afternoon on weekends or on an early night on Friday because it gets pretty packed. The bar is not as glamorous as other places in the Marina, but if you're with a great group of people, you'll have fun. I always have a great time with friends who want to have some fun without paying and arm and a leg. If you're looking for a chill bar to sit and talk, you might want to go to the bar across the street. Pros: Great for groups of ppl Cons: Busy on weekends, very hard to get through the bar more

Where locals go when they're home from college 10/6/2007

The place is cool to hang out but it gets pretty crowded. Everyone there seems to know each other and it is most likely because everyone there went to high school together. It's their reunion spot when they come home from college. Beer pong is a big deal there as there are multiple beer pong tables setup for it. Darts seems like its really just there to waste time until its your turn for beer pong. I feel like I'm at a college house party when I am there. Otherwise service is average in a crowded bar, you have to wait forever for your server or wait forever at the bar for the bartender. Prices are moderate....around $10 for a drink. more

If you're in college and want to get drunk... 11/23/2006

This is a pretty good place. I never got into the beer pong but the pool is always fun. It's also a good place to watch a game when belly up to the bar. Even if it is slow, get there at 9 and fuel up until 10 then move on somewhere else. the power hour is great for specials. Pros: Early specials, college crowd Cons: packed on weekends more

Perfect for weekend shenanigans 1/30/2006

Having heard so much about bar none over the years, I finally decided to check it out for myself. My first trip to bar none included several hot female bartenders (the two up front compose a formidable duo) some rousing sing alongs, jaeger shots and beer pong. It's safe to say, I've never had so much fun in a night. Seriously - the best part of my night was chatting with the bartneders. Pros: staff, cheap beer Cons: seemed a bit crowded more

Frat House 1/20/2006

Walking down the steps into this bar, you'd feel like you've just stepped into a total frat house full of rowdy college guys drinking, hogging the pool tables, and challenging each other to action-packed beer pong matches. The few girls that are there shamelessly seek high school-like male attention. It was super crowded but not many people seemed to mind as they belted tunes from the '80s blasting from the jukebox. No one used the dartboard. Not much diversity to be found in this joint, would've thought I was in a mid-western state rather than San Francisco. No place to dance. An okay experience but not good for groups and there's definitely no need to primp up ladies - the drunkards are just happy to have some estrogen present. Will go back but with lower expectations - looking towards some plain college-style activities and hopefully, fun. Beware of Angry Bartenders 10/21/2005

I've only been here once, and it will be the last. The atmosphere was cool, there was plenty of eye candy, but the staff was absolutely awful. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to just order a drink and good luck if they get it right the first time. Be careful how you tell the bartender that he messed up your drink because he will literally yell at you at the bar explaining how he's had so much experience and blah blah blah. If you're looking for a good time and a chill place to drink, do NOT go here. Pros: Plenty of eye candy Cons: Horrible staff, Long waiting time, Hard to find parking more

The Staff hasn't changed since it has opened, and are more than ready to enjoy the evening with you. The eye candy is more than you can ask for on the weekends. Tuesdays are a good time to come....unless you have to wake up early. Pros: staff, specials, ambiance Cons: crowded more

Stay away from this mess. The staff is horrendous and the management is horrible. Bar None has quite the reputation for employing jerks and meatheads. If you like Union, save your money for the Mona Loa Cons: , Bad Atmosphere, Jerks for employees more

My opinion has changed of this Cow Hollow bar. What is intermitant is the right crowd. Weekday nights draws a friendly and down-to-earth crowd which is fun. The weekend crowd on occasion consists of a different sort. But the atmosphere is laid back, and the staff is first rate. Pros: Crowd (Sometimes), Staff, Location Cons: Crowd (Sometimes) more

If you're in a good mood and can go with the flow, this is a great place to drink, people watch, drink, meet people, drink listen to great music, and drink. If you're feeling at all irritable, go someplace less crowded and avoid a bar fight with the 10th guy in 5 minutes that knocked your drink over.
