I purchased a Dyson canister online from Bank's Vacuum. It arrived in a badly damaged unsealed factory box and partially assembled. I called the shop to confirm I purchased a NEW product and not a REFURBISHED or RETURNED one. The first sales associate I spoke to was of no help at all. However, a follow up by another Banks rep confirmed that the box must have been damaged while shipping (not sure why the seals were broken) and the rep went a step further to confirm that Dyson at times will partially assemble a vacuum as part of a quality control test.
I don't know if I'd purchase another vacuum from these folks given the shipping issue, but I will say that they have handled my concerns with the utmost professionalism and have been very attentive. I even got a follow up call from the owner, Ken Banks. I was impressed that he took the time. That doesn't happen too often.
