I just recently went to Bang Salon to get my hair cut by Rodger, the owner. My neighbors all go to this salon and they have been trying to convince me that I should go as well. I finally decided to go for it and I can't tell you how happy I am that I did! Everything was first rate from the phone call to make the appointment to the thank you I got for coming there! Rodger is not only an amazing hair stylist but an amazing person. The salon is beautiful and everyone that works there is so friendly and accommodating. There is nothing they didn't think of. I can't wait to go back! more

Worst.salon.ever. Horrible manager. Sandy ""colored"" my hair white. Yes, white. When I got home my husband asked me why my hair was white. Then he said it looks and feels like straw (it does). Then he asked if maybe a wig would help. He was sincerely trying to be nice. Sandy kept trying to tell me it was ""beautiful."". She said this about 10 times, as if she was trying to convince herself. I told her the color was the exact shade of my 93 yo grandma. And, to top it off, she burned my scalp so badly I could not recolor it for over one week. I went to a wedding with white hair with my lobster red scalp showing through. By the way, two days earlier I made an appointment to have my son's hair cut at baby b. The ""stylists"" were late and rude. The salon was filthy, filthy dirty - someone's used stained cervical collar was sitting on the bench next to the children's toys. There was dirt and hair everywhere. Beyond gross. We left. more

Hi all, this is not meant to be a slam on Bang salon but about 4 months ago I got what I consider the worst haircut ever. After requesting a trim, the stylist who I won't name layered the keyrap out of my hair! Except, oddly, the bottom back...I think so she could say ""I hardly took anything off the length."" After telling her how long I'd been growing my hair out I truly felt violated. None of my friends could even muster up ""it doesn't look that bad."" One friend insisted I ask for my $$ back and said she'd go with me. Of course I didn't. I had to get the back fixed a week later. What a mess. If this stylist, who told me she was a trainer, is sincerely that good I believe she should have recognized how poor the cut was (and that it wasn't remotely what I asked for) and offered not to charge me. As it were I quickly donned my hat, tipped 20% and got the heck out of there. I regret that. Four months of depressing bad hair days later I rue the day I ever walked into Bang Salon. Be careful of people who want to practice on your hair instead of just giving you the trim you requested. more

I have known Brittani for a while, but I have to say, I am continually impressed with her abilities and passion for what she does. She is always on top of the current trends, and gives me an honest opinion of what what cut and color combination would look best on me without disregarding my lifestyle. I am extremely impressed with her knowledge of coloring, and coloring techniques. Time after time I am so satisfied with the results, and even better I always get compliments on my hair, which what woman doesn't love to hear? If I ever leave Denver, I will fly back here to have her do my hair! If you are looking for a change in stylists, I would definitely recommend Brittani, and in addition Bang Salon! is comfortable and fun atmosphere, where you can sip on a glass of wine and truly enjoy some 'me' time! more

I have to say, I was so pleased with Bang Salon! I recently went there for a cut and color and I couldn't be happier! The customer service was phenomenal, the atmosphere impeccable, clean and festive and my cut and color were top notch! I new I was in good hands from the second I stepped foot in the door. I was offered a glass of wine and just had a wonderful visit. I can't wait to go back! The only regret is that I didn't discover it sooner! more

I am the owner of Bang Salon. I seriously apologize if you experienced the above issues in our salon. As you can read from other clients, it is not typical for our salon to be as you described. I'm not sure why you had a difficult time getting an appointment. Our salon is open 8 am to 8 pm during the week and 8am to 7pm on friday and saturdays. It is our policy for the receptionists to do everything possible to get you in. Because our stylists are all employees of ours, it is not a problem to see other stylists if one schedule doesn't work for you. I agree that parking at times can be a hassle, but we chose the location particularly because it had a parking lot as opposed to many other businesses that have to battle on street parking (which we have as well). In eleven years, I have never had a stylist walk out on a client. If that did happen, they would no longer be working at our salon, so I'm not sure what you are referring to? Remember, if we don't do hair, we don't get paid, so we try our best to accommodate you. I'm sorry you feel that our stylists are only average. Unlike many other salons, we require our stylists complete our 18 month advanced training program following their schooling before they are allowed to be a stylist on our floor. They go through rigorous training and hard work so that we are all confident in their training in all aspects of being a hairstylist. Lastly, I am aware that customer service is extremely important and it can make or break your business, but thank you for reminding me there is always room for improvement. Let’s see… where I should start… I have been going to bang salon for over 3 years now and only now have finally become fed up with the lack of customer service. First off their hours are not accommodating to anyone who has a real job or works longer then a 4 hours day. Nor do they make any exceptions to help try to find a time that works, even with loyal and long time paying clients such as myself. The front desk service is Horrible!!! The girls are extremely rude and hold an incredibly pretentious attitude… “Remember darlings… we pay you to do our hair”. The parking is ridiculous... there never is any… so if you can’t find a parking please don’t forget to call in to tell them cause if you are late the stylist will just walk out and cancel your appointment. In addition the stylists are average, so don’t pay for average work with horrible service. Let me just close with this finally statement… Costumer service is everything and word of mouth is even more… I would never recommend this salon to anyone I know. Although I have known Kristy for quite some time, I only recently learned that she is a truly gifted stylist! I had received a cut that was good, but not really what I had in mind at a different salon. So, I went to Kristy with some pictures and a vague description of what I really wanted (a bob cut that hits just below the ears). She in turn gave me the best haircut of my life. She cut the ends with a technique that makes it bevel under, even when I haven't taken a curling iron to it!\r \r It's been over a month, and I am still in love with my hair cut and am getting more compliments than ever before. Do yourself a favor and go see Kristy at Bang Salon, and you too will be singing her praises. more

I have thick, poker straight hair that has been a struggle in finding someone that knows how to razor, layer, thin, and cut 'underneath' and be aware of the colics and hair pattern. Rodger Garcia is a master stylist - highly recommend and have him work his magic on your hair. He's helped me to go 'au natural' to my grey and just absolutely love it. Until I found Kristy I can honestly say that I had never before found a stylist who I felt truly comfortable with. When I saw her for the first time I had no idea how I wanted my hair cut. I knew I needed a change but didn't know which direction to head in. Kristy was incredibly patient, listened to everything I had to say, and came up with amazing ideas for both a cut and color. It is apparent that she truly cares about her craft and it shows in the work that she does. I could not have been happier with Kristy, I get constant compliments from strangers and have recommended her to all of my family and friends. For those of you who are searching for someone who is not only a wonderful stylist but a true artist as well, I strongly recommend Kristy. I'll never look any further! I have been looking for a new salon for ages. I just couldn't seem to extract a good style from anywhere. Then I found Bang in 5280. I was amazed from the moment I made my appointment. They are very concerned about making sure every customer is happy from the moment you book an appointment until the moment you leave looking fabulous. I couldn't have been more clueless about what to do with my hair. It was a scary mess. Kristen discussed with me my ideas and expectations, and clearly communicated her ideas, and we came up with a plan. Then she continued to discuss the hairstyle every step along the way WHILE STYLING, which was very important to remain on the same page. I left with an amazing style that was beyond my imagination. I became a customer of Bang! Salon several years ago by searching for salons recommended by Bumble&Bumble. I requested a senior level stylist for cut and hair color and became an instant fan of Tommy. After becoming a loyal customer to Tommy, this year he decided to break out on his own and move to a salon where he owns his own business rather than being a commissioned stylist. Bang! Salon called me to let me know he had moved to a new salon and to find out if I would like to continue as their customer or have Tommy's new contact info. I have NEVER been more impressed by salon. Thank you Bang! Salon for understanding the unique bond between a stylist and their client. Although my money is following Tommy into his new career, I know that Bang! Salon will more than make up for this small loss in revenue through it's generosity and respect for it's ex-employees as well as it's customers. I will never hesitate to recommend anyone to Bang! I have been going to Bang Salon for years now and in fact I seem to switch back and forth between their two locations. I am so happy that they are consistent because I can't tell you how happy I have been with my hair since I started coming to this salon. When I made the appointment, the receptionist asked what I wanted to spend and that's how she can determine which stylist to put me with. I had a partial highlight and trim for $175 (the high end of my range given to the receptionist and very over priced for the services). I was double booked, made to feel like a dollar sign, and had no input as to the color or cut. He used a RAZOR to thin my bangs...NEVER ON CURLY HAIR!!! My bangs look like straw and the color is faint at best. I have been to many fine salons and BangSalon doesn't even rank. This is crazy!! I've gone to Niki for over a year now and she is the most skillful stylist I've ever been too...in Denver or otherwise!! Not to mention she is super nice and always willing to do whatever it takes to make me totally happy with my hair. I love going to this salon, but I will follow Niki wherever she goes!!! I was not a big salon goer because I figured men probably don't need to pay extra money for a good haircut. After going to Bangsalon, I realized that I was soooooo wrong and wish that I would have discovered this salon earlier! Everyone is so great and friendly. It is not intimidating or snobby. I have never had a better haircut or scalp massage...wow! That is worth it in itself! I am now on a great regimen for my hair and I have never looked better...my wife also goes there and trust me, we both are happy with the way we look and each other looks! Ooh la la!! I have to say that this salon is so good, I have been stopped by many people on the street to tell me how much they love my hair! That has never happened to me before. I hope they are prepared to be even busier because I am referring everyone to them! It's pretty interesting how the last reviewer went to three high-end salons in Denver within 3 weeks and wrote terrible reviews on each one! Two of them on the same day. I'm surprised she has any hair left with all the chunks being taken out! (You know, yellowtulip, we can see your reviews in your history) It's pretty sad when you need to sabotage other businesses to try to help yours out. We consumers are not that stupid! I went to a guy stylist here and it was horrible. I came in with a picture of the haircut that I wanted. I wanted Lauren Conrad's new haircut that is shoulder length with blunt ends and no layers framing the face. He told me that it would be no problem. What happens? I come out of there with a haircut that looks nothing like what I wanted! It was shoulder lenth, but it had poorly done face framing layers. Actually, I can't even call them layers...it was more like he just cut a diagonal line down the hair on each side of my face. SO BAD!!! PLUS, on one side by my ear was a half inch section of hair that was cut about 3 inches shorter then the rest of my hair. Every time I pulled my hair into a ponytail I had to tuck this clump of hair behind my ear on the one side and it was horrible! The hair stylest I went to afterwards couldn't believe it!!! I would not recommend this salon. more

I think this is the greatest salon I have ever been to! I just moved here from California and was hesitant about going after reading the latest review, but, I decided to go anyway because they had so many great reviews and they are very close to my house. Anyway, I had the greatest experience and walked away with the best color and cut that I have had in years! Everyone was so friendly and inviting...I had a glass of wine and chatted with my stylist who was awesome! It was a great experience and when I tried to share it with people, they already knew about them and go there also, so I wanted everyone to know through citysearch! Thanks Bang...I feel beautiful!
