I think it is a nice place to bowl. It always has some type of activities going on for the community. It is a huge place, just dont know why they did away with the fun plex area...

Never Again 6/18/2010

Arrived and put our name on the waiting list. Counted 20+ lanes open. Waited over an hour and a half before leaving. Asked several times if we could just have one of the many many lanes open. The snippy response was that they were reserving lanes for service industry workers. Lanes stayed about 20 open the entire time we were there. Always bad attitudes at the counter. Place seems to be run by high school kids for high school kids. On a side note, Ball gets stuck repeatedly and just overall a horrible place to go. Kids at the counter always treated us like crap even though we were regulars and never caused trouble. We bowl Weekly and the service and atmosphere never got any better. Now we give our money to University Bowl every week even though it's quite a bit farther away. Pros: Lots of lanes? Cons: Never get a lane. more

Good Bowling alley 7/2/2006

I think it is a nice place to bowl. It always has some type of activities going on for the community. It is a huge place, just dont know why they did away with the fun plex area for kids. Large place, good for parties and entertainment. The crowds there are for all ages. Pros: Big place with many lanes Cons: Could use some cleaning up, new vents, paint job more

Nice Bowling Alley 9/8/2003

I just went to Bandera bowl expecting it to be really terrible based on what the other guy said. I actually think its one of the nicer bowling alleys in San Antonio. The bowling alley is large it has activities for kids. I dont know where that other guy saw ""gangsters"" because I didnt see any and I dont think a ""gangster"" ,as the other guy put it, would be caught dead at a bowling alley. Just because there is a diverse group of people that go to the bowling alley doesn't mean they are ""gangsters"" it just means bandera bowl has been able to do what most bowling alleys haven't, that is appeal to people of other cultures and races. I think its great for leagues and it is also listed as a PBA practice center. I like it because the leagues are big and competitive at Bandera Bowl. Pros: Large Active Leagues, Somewhat Inexpensive, Great Parking Cons: The Ignorant Staff, Pro Shop Availability more
