A pleasant fast food experience 5/10/2011

Baja Fresh might not be the best mexican in LA (in fact I kind of feel guilty going here because there are so many great local, legit joints) but I like their stuff. Their burritos (particularly the Nacho Burrito, my go to) are big and stuffed with about the right amount of everything. They don't cheat you on meat filling, rice, cheese or anything else (and they don't let the rolled up ends of tortilla take up precious space either). BUT here's the thing that made me want to post this review: Baja Fresh is the cleanest fast food place I've ever been to. Every single one of them! The one in Hollywood almost always has someone wandering around wiping down tables or taking care of random trash....that's why though I venture in rarely, I am always trusting of the delicious crap I shove down my gullet. more

Baja oy veh! 11/24/2003

How can this be the best burrito in L.A.? Baja Fresh is not even Mexican food, it's California healthy concious food. Mexican food is supposed to be cheap. At $7.00 for a burrito, that's mucho deniro. Talk about S L O W service! Cons: Price, time more

El Tarasco 10/18/2003

El Tarasco is the best wet burrito spot. El Tarasco is an authentic Mexican food restaraunt unlike the americanized Chipotle, Baja Fresh, and Poquito Mas. People who eat at Chipotle and Poquito Mas don't know burritos and probably never even at a taco truck before! If you go to El Tarasco you must get the Super Deluxe Chicken Burrito with a large Orange Bang. Pros: best burrito., minute walk to beach, great ambience. Cons: none , none, none more

Good Tex Mex fast food 8/26/2003

You don't feel too guilty after eating at this Tex Mex place and the food is fairly good. This is not ""Taco Bell"". My favorites: the fish tacos & the Baja chicken burrito. Pros: Pretty Healthy food, Clean atmosphere Cons: No Margaritas ! more

good stuff 7/16/2003

Everything is good, but don't pass up the enchiladas. They're tasty and juicy. Pros: Taste, quantity, really fresh Cons: can be crowded more

Best Burrito In Town 7/12/2003

Baja makes THE best burrito in town. Of course it's Americanized, their restaurants are actually CLEAN. Authentic Mexican food isn't very good, but if you want to pay $2.50 for crap in a tortilla including Grade D meat, go ahead. Tex-Mex is by far much better, and I'll take Baja any day of the week over any other burrito in LA. Pros: Great Food, Clean Environment, Quality Service Cons: Nothing more

wow 5/1/2003

you people are idiots, baja isn't supposed to be authentic mexican food, it's supposed to be a healthy version of it... this place is great, everything fresh, they keep the place remarkably clean when you take in consideration the amount of traffic going through there grabbing salsas and lemons and whatnot. Pros: cheap & fast, good serving sizes, HEALTHY Cons: not drive-through fas, ??, ?? more

WHAT? 12/27/2002

Best burrito? This place makes the worst burrito I've had. It's fine if you're having lunch but if you want a real burrito, this isn't the right kind of place. Pros: quick and easy, tollerable Cons: bad service more

Give Me A Break! 12/13/2002

It's an Americanized burrito. Nothing wrong with that. More avocado than meat in those burros. Cons: expensive more

America's version of Mexican Food 12/12/2002

Baja Fresh is not bad, but its commercialized Mexican food. In no way does any of their food compare to authentic Mexican Food. If you want to eat somewhat healthy, then yes, this is probably the place to go. Other than that, see you at King Taco, El Taconazo, El Gallo Giro, or El Tepeyac for real Mexican Food, especially burritos! Pros: Healthy Cons: Lacks Flavor more

What burrito? 12/6/2002

another chain gang 11/27/2002

Though I'll admit that Baja Fresh does have a unique tase, albeit it's a chain. It does not beat out about a half dozen other places in Southern California. El Tepeyac is by far the best place in LA to get a burrito. Though other places such as Burrito Jr and Super Mex are quite as tastey. more

Going there for Years & Years 11/22/2002

This is such a wonderful place. My family has been going there for years..... I think it was the old stomping grounds for my Dad & Uncles. Most of us drive many mile to have a meal there now. I know our kids will do the same in years to come. Thank-you for being the BEST! Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive, Casual Dress & Hours Cons: Waiting in line, not very large more

Overpriced 11/21/2002

If you want a really good burrito, you have to go to the little mom and pop restuarants. Baja is okay, over rated, overpriced, and generic. Pros: Convienent, Clean Cons: Over rated, Over priced, Not Authentic more

Yummalishis 11/9/2002

baja fresh in Burbank is Awesome...The Baja Burrito is the way a buritto should taste...Also great taco's and salsa Pros: fast service, excellent food, great music Cons: always busy more

The BEST 10/30/2002

Baja Fresh is QUALITY mexican food. It's a little pricey, but the portions you get are so huge you'll be able to take the rest home and have it for lunch the next day. Everything is fresh and excellent quality. The salsa has huge chunks of tomatoes, the guacamole is thick and tasty. Everything is excellent and yummy! Pros: tasty, fresh, huge portions more

Best Shrimp and pinto Bean Burrito! 8/28/2002

I recently relocated to CA from the East Coast and have been sampling all of the mexican eateries in the area. By far, Baja Fresh is the best! I love their fresh salsa bar and their shrimp and pinto bean and cheese burrito is delicious! Pros: fresh food, fresh salsa bar Cons: long wait, cash only more

Baja Rules 8/26/2002

Lean and mean, Baja Fresh is not a greasy heavy Mexican meal. Fresh is an appropriate word. It's the bomb. more
