Babe Ruth Museum 2/9/2006

Though I would classify myself anything but a baseball fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the Babe Ruth Museum in Baltimore. It's tucked away in the city, and if you sneeze, you might miss it; it's situated in the middle of a residential area where BR once lived. I learned a lot about the athlete, and a visit to this museum pairs quite nicely with a trip to Camden Yards! more

This museum is located in the actual house where Babe Ruth lived. There is replica furniture resembling how his old house looked. The museum features wonderful statues, pictures and memorabilia from the Orioles, Yankees, and other Maryland sports. The stadium often features exhibits, such a "A Birds Eye View" where pictures taken by fans were displayed in the museum. more

Attention Baseball Fans... 8/15/2005

This is the location of Babe Ruth's birth-- it is only a few blocks away from Camden Yards, which is a baseball destination in its own right. But here you will find the restored house as well as a museum. The museum is focused on situating Babe Ruth in a history of the Orioles baseball team. Highlights include Ruth memorobilia such as his hat, glove, and bat. You probably can't spend a day there, but why not catch it as part of a baseball day? more

The Babe Ruth museum is a perfect fit for this baseball obsessed city! Learn more about the history of the Babe himself and of baseball in Baltimore in general. More fun for adults than kids, with lots to read and mostly still exhibits. Lots of interesting information not generally known about one of Baltimore's native sons. more
