This railroad museum is pretty small, at least compared to the huge museum in downtown Baltimore. What makes it worth visiting is the great location in historic Ellicott city and the excellent model train display of the first railroad line in Maryland. The young engineers will love this. There is also a variety of special events they put on throughout the year, including civil war reenactments, which is a great time to visit.
