I had 15k service performed on my 2011 128i. I made an appointment on their website and was assigned a service agent. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by my assigned agent, Ivan Krnjic, in a professional and friendly manner. He explained what was included in the routine 15k service and approximate time for completion. I waited in their lounge with some great coffee and fabulous pastries. The service along with wash job wash completed in the less than the approximate time of 2 hrs. It was a really genuine great experience. Was I lucky, I don't know but maybe this service department has improved greatly from what I have read. more

BMW lacks in San Antonio 4/16/2012

The great experience I had was with a lovely mechanic in the parts department always making himself available to give me a quote on my side mirror that got damaged, the unfortunate part to that was my service provider who yes kept me informed but commenced to inflate the price of half the work. As we all know our side mirrors are held on by 4 brackets, well I so pleasantly got two brackets because I didn't want to pay the cost to paint the mirror! I was astonished that she would even advise me that those were how things were going to work, so because I can go down the street and get it painted at a local shop for 80$ instead of 175$ I get two brackets??!! And she basically had a heart attack when I told her not to check my gauges because I have a personal mechanic to do that,... :( Not the 5 star service I am used to with BMW no matter what year my vehicle or anyone elses is...please build another one with personalities to the service consultants more

Horrible service 9/7/2011

After having two BMW's in the past 7 yrs and owning a Mercedes and Audi, this location is probably one of the worse in customer service. This has gone on ever since I owned my first one. Customer Service has never imporved, car is never washed to my satisfaction and sometimes not even washed unless I wait for two hours. It takes days for just once thing to be fixed and friendly employees are never found. I have heard that Austin's location is great and I wish it was closer. I think they really don't care (BMW of San Antonio) because they are the only BMW dealership in here. It's sad that you spend so much money on a great car to be treated like this. If anyone is considering a BMW and you are not willing to drive to Austin I would highly recommend an Audi or Mercedes, both places when I use to own them are top notch and everyone if very friendly, helpful and speedy service. Again, I love my BMW but service is something that I would reconsider if I want to buy a newer model. Thanks for listening :) more

BMW of San Antonio 8/10/2011

I would have to say BMW San Antonio has the worse service department in the world. I took my car in yesterday for a routine maintenance check-up. They needed to change my oil and check the engine soon light. I was informed after approximately 8 hours that I needed to come back in tomorrow because they needed to download some type of software to my car in order for the problem to be corrected. I returned the next morning and the service Rep Mike informed me that it will take about 4 hours and he would update me on the status if it takes any longer. After waiting 6 hours I had to call him and ask for a status and he informed me that my car still wasn't complete. I asked to have my car returned and when I received it, it wasn't washed or anything. I will never step foot back in this place again because I've had similar problems with them in the past. If you want good quality service take your car anywhere but here. I recommend Austin BMW. more

Someone should turn this dealer into the Texas attorney general!! All fake, paid for reviews!! Look at the reviews since july. All fakes. Is this dealer buying fake 5 star reviews? hmmm, check out the reviewers history and you tell me. Somehow the reviewers buy a car every day all over the country. Funny, how they all get 5 stars, too. How about the one that knows every little detail of their alleged ""service award""? Haha, we know the dealer is buying these reviews but apparently they are also writing them. Come on fellas, if you're gonna fake reviews at least mix in some local residents and a 4 star every now and then!!! more

Never Again! 12/29/2009

Never have I been so inspired to write to warn and inform others about such an awful experience. Unfortunately, friends were too late in warning me of the service nightmare at BMW San Antonio. I hope I can spare you. As much as I love BMW's, I will have to move cities before I will own one again...my friends tell me that they have a much more pleasant experience in Austin...though its a little inconvenient to travel, it will save you lots of grief! Cons: Terrible Service Department more

BMW of San Antonio has the worst service I've experienced at a car dealership (even worse than Ford!) and they don't seem to care. I've been there several times in the past month and it's always the same thing. There are plenty of people walking around, but they all ignore you. When you finally get someone's attention, they are rude and dismissive. I was told my scheduled appt for an oil change would take one hour. I sat there for 2.5 hrs. When I finally found the service representative, he said there had been a mix-up -- with an oil change? Surely there is another place in town to service a BMW! Beware of Tara - she is by far the worst as far as customer service!! more
